So i'm probly going to see this show next week, im going to be deaf by the end, probably have no voice, and be heavily under the influence of alcohol....but has anyone seen Drowning Pool since the front man OD'd? Are they still powerful? Just curious. I'm also reserving this spot for tlaking about the show next week.

So the show was last night. I'm deaf, hoarse, sore from headbanging and moshing in my own personal pit (no legs + mosh=traumatic brain injury), i stole an empty pitcher from the bar, and got asked where the strip club was by a chick with a 12 yar old daughter (who also was hitting on me and my buddy). A good show all in all

The City Sleeps was the opener...must be a newer band, i'd list them as mediocre...not like ugh wtf is this shit when i listend to them, but not ZOMG rock and roll is alive! The frontman was trying too hard to be cool drinking a bottle of jack b/w verses then acting like hunter Thompson...2/5

Drowning Pool- Holy fuck i love these guys. Ever been to a show where the bass vibrates not only eerything around you but your own skeleton...actually wouldve liked a long part from these guys. I also found it ironic that the lead singer told us to sing loud enough so Davy (their original front man) could hear us and pointed to the sky, honestly; i think he woulda gone the other way but hey whatever. Good fun band and the live Performance of Bodies was as awesome as a show gets with the crowd and everyone almost being as loud as the speakers

Saliva-The band i was sorta disappointed in last year when the blizzard hit and 20 people or so were there. Turns out this year they played about 2-3 extra songs. go figure. But they do a damn good show. Josey Scott actually has the voice which is rare in Hard rock singers and the band is all great. Highlights were probably Click Click Boom, Ladies and Gentlemen, and Always. Between the guitarist spitting jager into the crowd (waste of jager but this is rock n roll dammit! dont bother me with trifles!), and the mosh pit being covered in spilt beer and people just sliding as they tried futilely to mosh; the show was fucking awesome

Not a bad way to spend 20 bucks if i do say so myself.
