The Rams?
Hopefully you can get Bulger to play to his contract and Jackson on a full head of steam early.
Good luck!

"Rams Defense Shines In Season Opener"
"Hill shined in the opener"
- 31
- 19
Play of the Game
In the season opener, the St. Louis Rams really impressed on defense. They forced four interceptions in the secondary, and did a great job containing the pass and stopping the run. Will Witherspoon was a vocal leader on the field and had this to say after the game. "The defense is really motivated and we expect to do this week in and week out. We just need to keep improving and preparing for next week against San Fransisco. We still need to work on some things and perform to be called a great defense."
On offense, the Rams were only alright as Steven Jackson could not get past the Panthers defensive line. He only rushed for 89 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown. Also, Bulger had three interceptions all on bad mistakes throwing over the middle. He is going to need to find some consistency this year or the offense will not be able to function right.

Right: Bulger makes a throw down the field

Nice start, albeit against the Panthers. Three picks by Bulger, but a win's a win.
Absolute daylight for Hill on the interception return there
Good luck against the 49ers.

Um...is it just me or does all the guys (Bulger in particular) look especially fat in these pictures?
Good win, even though it's against the Panthers, but still. All three picks on stupid throws? Ouch.

Yeah, Bulger threw a bunch of dumb picks. Thanks for the comment.

The PS3 version of the game makes everybody look fat. Especially the lineman, lol.
Thanks for the comment

I know it's early, but any ideas of who you will be looking at in the draft? Position specific or best available?
Also do you have any individual player goals? Stephen Jackson NFL rushing leader, Lenoard Little sack leader etc?

Well in the draft, I'm looking at drafting a Safety or Outside Linebacker in the first round since Corey Chavous is getting old and Brandon Chillar is a below average starter. I don't have NCAA 08 so I didn't import the rosters, but I'll post a few players I am looking at later.
As far as goals go, I want Steven Jackson to be tops in the league in rushing touchdowns and yards from scrimmage. And I want Witherspoon to lead the league in tackles for loss.

i did a franchise with Vikings on All-Madden...Broke rushing record with Adrian Peterson, had like 26 hundo yards...I threw the ball like 6-10 times a game, lol...also went 18-1, it was great, the fucking Eagle are the only team that cannot be beaten. anyways, this looks great can't wait for next update, and good luck with getting Jackson that rushing title!
Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:12 pm
I'd suggest to you updating this every 3 or 4 games, just so it doesn't become a burden and I don't want to this this 'chise die.
If I were you I'd look to draft a safety and sign the linebacker you need. Also, will you play Hall on offense or just returning kicks?

Thanks for the comment, do you have the game for PS3 or 360?

I'll think about it, but I have an update coming up in a minute.
Good idea on the draft part, and Hall plays the fourth receiver and gets used sometimes in the passing game.

"Rams Defense Carries Them Once Again"
"Witherspoon had three big interceptions"
- 24
- 10
Play of the Game
Once again the Rams defense played lights out creating a lot of turnovers. They didn't have a sack all game, but the pressure forced Alex Smith to throw the ball to the Rams four times. This was an impressive showing by the whole secondary and also a good day for all of the linebackers. Will Witherspoon chimed in about his huge day saying, "We are really getting good pressure on the quarterbacks were facing and helping create turnovers for our defense. I think we have a great shot at making the playoffs this year if we can keep this up."
Steven Jackson had a below average game as the Niners defense was confusing him all day. Marc Bulger also continued making bad throws and had three interceptions of his own. The turnovers are really killing the Rams offensive game and that is going to need to improve as the season goes on.
Left: McMichael makes the touchdown catch----------- Left: Chillar disrupts things in the backfield

Wow Witherspoon had a great game. On pace for 112 tackles and 24 picks! So did the whole defense, but the offense has to get rollilng soon.
Mon Jan 07, 2008 5:47 am
I actually have game on Ps2..not a huge next-gen fan (living in denial)

Yeah Witherspoon is playing great but the offense needs to play better.
