Assassin's Creed

Postby cyanide on Sun Dec 16, 2007 5:57 am

I'm a sucker for medieval time games (Medieval Total War is one of my favorite games ever), but I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews so I'm not sure if it's worth getting.

Has anyone played it? And would anyone recommend it?

Yes I've played it. It's either a hit or miss game, you will either love it or not. I didn't because it felt way too repetitive in the missions.

I absolutely love it, just because of the sandbox gameplay

I completely recommend it. You just reminded me that I haven't played it in a while, too.

Yeah, I own it for 360...I recommend you get it. The storyline is just superb and the last few ending missions put a twist into the plot. The gameplay is loads of fun. I just finished it today and it makes me wonder if there is a sequel. Anyways, it has a great sort of conspiracy type plot.

Sac-1: Ubisoft has designed the storyline to be a trilogy, and Jade Raymond, producer on the game, said, that they would make a sequel if Assassin's Creed sold well

I don't think I would call it "great", or even a "twist".

I offer a counterpoint: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/article ... in-s-Creed

meh. the first couple missions are good, but quite limited because of your lack of abilities but then right when you gain them back, the game gets old because all you've been doing for hours on end have been jumping off of high buildings and fighting off bullies of the city.

The game sucks! I beat it and never again play it again...SHould of just rent it instead of wasting 60 $ for a no challenge fighting game...

I agree with Cool2Fool. At first I was very excited for this game, and it was a big letdown.

I rather liked it. It was good fun while it lasted. Though it did end very abruptly. (I walked around for 10 minutes, thinking that there would be more..)

I should also say that I'm glad that I didn't get it myself, but loan it from a friend. It doesn't have a very long lasting appeal. Though I probably will play through it once more before I play the sequel..

And got damn I hated those crazy people and beggars who'd pester you when trying to "melt in"..

I haven't played it but it looks like loads of fun. I love the whole medieval ages assian concept. Just love the crusades time period. Does look a bit repetitive but I saw a bit of the the gameplay where you jump off the plank and into the hay so the enemy army thinks your dead. Amazing.

It is a sandbox type game but at the same time, repetitive. It's a game you rent not buy. I wish I would of done that with Uncharted. Both are "must play" games but not much replay value.

Very ripetitive.

Anyway, my judge is: awesome game. I liked it a lot.

But I'd not spend 60 dollars/euros.. i was lucky cause a friend of mine borrowed me the game..

awesome graphics.
