R.I.P. Brother

He died protecting his family. What a sad day.

Yeah, that really sucks. I wasn't even aware you could feasibly die from a gunshot to the leg; I guess they weren't able to stop the blood quickly enough.

Yeah, I didn't realize a shot to the leg can really kill someone but like you said, they weren't able to stop the blood quickly enough.
Shocked me when I saw this on ESPN. I thought he was gonna be alright but I guess the person up there has other plans for him.

RIP

I don't follow football closely, but Sean Taylor was one of the names I knew well. I really hope someone doesn't come in proclaiming that the world is better off without him and that was just "an asshole". R.I.P Sean, you went down protecting your family and despite your past you'll be missed.

R.I.P, just 24 years old.

Don't worry Shannon, Donatello hasn't posted here yet.

I think that's whats been missed in this whole tragedy. He was at home, and was shot in his bedroom protecting his girlfriend. I don't how good or bad you are on the field, thats a hero right there.

I'm not a fan of any team, but I am a homer of Terrell Owens. And since he went to Philly and now Dallas, he has gone against Taylor many times. I've watched him play so much. Even though the season Owens and the Cowboys have had, this is just brutal. It means nothing to me as a fan now.

There are certain things that happen that shake us all because we cant understand them. I think this is one of those times.

while I don't follow NFL too much, it's nonetheless a sad turn of events :(

I admire that he stood up & protected his family....the only thing I do wonder though is that by the sounds of it, the person who killed him might have previously broken in & seemed to know where to go & it doesn't sound like a break and enter, but possibly for other reasons. Who knows, that's just how it seemed to me.

RIP
