what next?

So I just recently started playing GTA for the first time in my life. I picked up San Andreas and I LOVE it. I'm nearing the end of the game, and I am trying to figure out what to play next. I've heard that once you play SA that Vice City isn't very fun. I'm playing on PC so GTA IV isn't an option. Are there any similar games out there for me? I love the freedom to do whatever you want to in the game. I really like the combination of driving and shooting. Any Ideas?

That's pretty much it. However, Vice City was fun, and it had a good story and theme, but San Andreas is such a bigger game. I've always wanted to play Liberty City Stories, myself, but I can't play it unless it comes out for the 360 or the PC.

There is a WIP mod that puts Vice City into San Andreas, but I don't know much about it.

Have you heard of Mafia? The first Mafia, I mean. It's GTA-ish but with an old skool theme. Or EA's The Godfather game, though reviews say that it isn't a good game.

I loved the first Mafia game.
So many different missions, excellent story and atmosphere, that was a perfect game.

It's also very cheap because of its age, I picked it up like 2 or 3 years ago for 3 euros. Really recommend that game!

Godfather was actually a decent game but i felt it was a bit too short.
