"McLovin! Thats Badass!"
Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:28 pm
Haha, great movie...McLovin that sounds like a fuckin sexy hamburger or something...It was between McLovin and Mohammed
I wish I lived in a world where chicks liked guys with boners

What are you trying to be, an Irish RnB singer?
You scratch our backs, we'll scratch yours
Well the funny thing about my back is its located on my cock.
I used to sit around all day... drawing pictures of dicks
The dick drawings were fucken gold
Tue Sep 04, 2007 2:09 am
you see the dick drawings during the credits? lol
there's a kid that looks like McLovin at my work. i got people to start calling him McLovin and now the managers do it
Tue Sep 04, 2007 2:11 am
"you dont wanna suck dick at eating pussy"-most subtle but funniest/ironic line in the movie
and of course any scene with the cops made me about piss myself. Almost everything they did was a riot. "I assume you all are armed and have crack"
Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:46 am
prepare to be fucked by the long dick of the law!
Tue Sep 04, 2007 7:34 am
"Oh shit the Cops!"

That was probably one of my favourite parts of the movie.

I don't know if I laughed because I was in a theatre or because it was funny, but I do know that watching superbad is the closest I've ever felt to being fat, ugly, white trash. this new kind of comedy, antics of the most pathetic characters imaginable (napoleon dynamite, superbad, etc.), I just don't get. I don't know - I don't relate with the characters, and I don't like laughing at them all that much either. I prefer laughing with rather than at.
Tue Sep 04, 2007 3:49 pm
Everybody laughs more in a theatre. Probably the mood of everyone else.
Loved when Seth went off on McLovin in the parking lot and the part in the cooking class.

Obviously, you were never a "loser" in high school. This was a teen movie written by teen "losers". Very eerily close to my high school (and college for that matter) experience and i was certainly laughing with and not at the characters.
Example 1
"yeah i think they told us that would happen in health class" what the hell else is a virgin gonna say when he's drunk nervous and with a beautiful girl who wants to sleep with him? Have you never had one of those "yeah say that, cover up this is awkward as all hell" moments?
Example 2
The whole plot line about the guys leaving for college: i lost several extremely close friends this way and its a big part of your life when someone gets into a good school and moves away when you've been friends for that long. No kidding, it fucking hurts to actually do but you cant throw your future away so you go anyway.
Example 3
The everlasting quest for liquor. Come on...really? you've never been through this? searching through for who has a fake ID or is old enough and giving them money and meeting them later? And being accomplices to it standing outside seeing if it works? shit my first 3 years of college were spent doing this
These are just my examples, everyones life experience is different i realize this and maybe yours wasnt like mine. But i didnt see these as "loser" or hateful characters. I found them to be quite likable, funny high school losers who get their big break on grad night. Realistic not really, but funny as hell and entertaining for a couple hours? sure.

This is one of two movies I've ever gone to see twice at the movie theater, and it was just as funny the second time as the first time.
And on getting liquor as a teen, its something I think we all go through, but in my town you just give money to an adult passin by, tell him wat u want, give them a tip, and then your on your way home with a nice bottle of whatever you drink
Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:24 am
lol I had some kid ask some adult to buy him a "Mature" rated game from me after his mommy called and said not to sell it to him.
Wed Sep 05, 2007 8:59 am
Heh, getting alcohol as a teen was one of the most simple procedures. They really made it seem harder than it is in the movie.

No, none of those things were a problem for me. If you liked it, that is fine, to each his own. I was just saying why I didn't like it.

I was just reading this thread and couldn't help but find out that you can't buy alcoholic beverages if you're under 21 in America.
Does beer and stuff like Breezer and low-percentage shit also count? I couldn't live without beer.
I must say that sucks! I mean, here in Europe it's as easy as 1,2,3: you go to the supermarket, get the booze, pay and get out. No ID required or anything.
Even in restaurants or clubs, as long as you don't look like you're nine, it's just as easy.
Man, I think I just found something positive about my country! Alright Italy!

Not to be offensive or anything, but that's quite sad. That you just found that out I mean. US's drinking limit has been in the media before so it should be common knowledge, but okay, if you just found that out, good for you.I mean, here in Europe it's as easy as 1,2,3: you go to the supermarket, get the booze, pay and get out. Surely you don't speak for all of Europe? No, you can't just 1-2-3 buy alcohol over here. If you aren't 16, you don't get Breezers/Beer. You have to show ID. If you're 16 (or above), feel free to drink. But no hard drinks to anyone under 18. 5% or less is allowed.

Yeah, as a high schooler, that's pretty much how it works around here as well.
Well...sans the
pay part. Sad, but true.

I must've heard/read about it before, but I really wasn't paying attention.
Anyway, I don't think it's sad. Well, not as sad as having 10,000+ posts on an internet forum, I don't think. Sorry, Jackal, but I couldn't resist

In every European country I've been to, I got to buy alcohol at supermarkets.
I haven't been all over Europe, though. Just Spain, Greece, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Belgium (and Italy of course). Only in Germany I've been asked for ID, but they sold me the booze anyway.
Here in Italy, I can purchase alcohol in most pubs too, even though the "legal alcohol purchase age" is 16.
I thought it was like this all over Europe.

Same thing with Russia, no ID's, passports, driving licenses or w/e. Just come in, buy it, if you get some old bitch thats gonna bitch about it, just go to another store and buy it there, they're not gonna arrest u or something.

Really in america it depends where you are and who you're dealing with. Some people/towns have very strict codes and are very hard on it. There are other towns i've never been carded. Its an interesting dynamic to look at and a weird phenom in this country we have a high drinking age yet also higher rates of drunk accidents/alcohol related vandalism and the like....

At 6 posts a day for around 4 years I don't see what's so sad about it, but okay, that's just me. Anyways, since you couldn't resist, I can't resist this...
Despite me being on this forum with 10.000+ posts, I still have more common knowledge about alcohol in the States than you do with a more outgoing life, atleast a more outgoing life according to you. Sorry Joe, I just couldn't resist.
Every European country you've been to still isn't all of Europe.
Yay for you that you got to buy alcohol, I'm guessing you're above 16 (well, it does take a lot out of me to guess even that much) so I don't see why they wouldn't sell you alcohol.
Thu Sep 06, 2007 4:29 am
Calm down, Jackal, it was just a joke, man. No need to hurt my feelings like that
. I apologize if I hurt yours.
I know every European country I've been to isn't all of Europe, but since the European Union is supposed to have similar, if not identical, laws and restrictions in every country that is part of it, I thought, maybe, the legal drinking age was the same.
And I'm not 16 yet.
Anyway, I'm going way off topic. Regarding the movie: I'm pissed off because obviously it's not out here yet; I'm getting tired of watching movies on my computer monitor.

One of my favorite parts is when the creepy guy asks if Seth or Evan has a myspace.

I also loved it when that guy gets the crap beat out of him at the party. Another great part is in the cooking class where Seth is making all those obscene movements behind that girl. It is definitely one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

"Hey! Blood Brothers!"
Greatest movie ever.

If you are in a small town where there is a college in the US, pretty much none of the liquor stores there will card people. In fact, there are some college towns I've been to that opened up liquor stores purely to capatalize off the college kids getting drunk.
If you are in a big city, they will card you almost for sure. Most stores have signs that say we card anyone that looks under 45.
