Took me like 3 hours to d/l but I finally played it and it's fun as hell. The graphics are amazing and it's awesome torching the splicers and then electrocuting them when they go into the water.

For some reason my 360 downloaded the Stanglehold demo (which kicks ass) before Bioshock, oh well, downloading it now too.
Opinions are my own.

Yeah I'm really wanting both games. The precise aim is the shit on Stranglehold and I cant wait to try multiplayer for it.

I played it 3 times now, the game looks great. Gotta love that fire in the water view, even the details in every area really. I think it could be really good.

I'm preloading it on Steam at the moment. Multiplayer would really put this game way ahead of the curve, but it's already the most original and thought-provoking FPS I've ever seen/played. I can't wait for Tuesday at 4 PM EST. :)

I think this needs to be bumped...
The PC demo was just released, for a massive 1.84 GB   (it's pretty much everywhere, not gonna provide links)
Also, I just saw IGN's review, which is 9.7
And it does confirm its superiority over the xbox360 version, no surprise here.
Never seen so much excitement on PC since Half -Life 2...
Can't wait til I get my new system together to see that craziness...

Damn, I would love to play it on PC, but I don't think it would look as good on my PC as it would on the 360. I'll still be getting it for one of the systems. I'll have to check the PC demo before I decide on the system I'll be using to play it. Naturally, FPS's should be played with a keyboard and mouse.

Get the PC demo on Steam - no waiting and great speeds. I'm at 74%. and been downloading for about half an hour. I don't have any idea why I'm downloading it though, given that I've played the 360 demo and will be able to play the full PC version tomorrow.

Holy shit! That's exactly what I was wondering 5 secs ago, if it's available on Steam...
Thanks for the tip BigKaBoom2 (Y)

I have no idea why my connection has been so fast lately.....

anyway, it will be interesting to compare how my PC handles the game against the 360.

If you are on Steam and have not joined our Steam group, you are the fail.

There's no reason to wait anywhere, I'd rather just install Steam and download the demo than wait in the lines that are getting up around 3 hour waits on certain sites...if I didn't already have it that is.

I really hope I'm not disappointed after two and a half years of this...unlikely but some games just get too much hype (Guitar Hero) and few live up to it all (God of War).

wow, steam is very busy with this demo.

I can't play an FPS game with a controller, and i don't have a 360, and i have a killer PC that could probably run the game at 60fps, so I don't think graphics will be a problem ;)

97/100 metascore too, I didn't know it was THAT popular, I myself thought it looked cool, but I wasn't THAT hyped about it, but if the demo is good I may get it on PC.

I played it, I loved it.
I really liked the Plasmids, too bad in the demo you can only use two.
The graphics are incredible, i love those wet floors.
I also like that you can hack these bots, that they are fighting for you.

Downloaded the demo a couple days ago even though I'm not an FPS fan, and its awesome. I was shocked when the game first gave you control, and the water wasn't a cutscene. The gameplay itself is very fun, and the plasmids were great. Killing multiple enemies by electrocuting the water = priceless.

Also, the graphics and atmosphere were amazing. I didn't think I would like a game set in 1960, but sure enough... I can't wait to be able to rent this game. It is too bad that there are no nearby game rental stores, and I have to use Gamefly... (And get it in 3 months since they bought 2 copies of the game)

Same here, when i first played it i was sitting in the water waiting to watch what would happen next. Little did i know it was actual gameplay.

Same here. I was waiting, and then I touched the controller and was like, woah. Check ou the tail of the plane as it sinks in the water, it's awesome.

I let my bro play it and he found the second plasmid and some cigarettes that I never found. I'm not sure what the cigarettes are for.

Also, does anyone know what to do, or if there is anything you can do to stop the security timer from counting down?

Widescreen users got hosed on this game. For both xbox360 and PC they cut the vertical resolution off instead of extending the horizontal resolution. We all know the point of widescreen is an extended horizontal frame of view.

A mod for the PC is already out that fixes it.

Well, I tried the PC demo to see the sharper graphics and to play it how itshould be played, with a mouse and keyboard. The game started up and I oculdn't see the mouse cursor but I got into the game and it looked like this.

Please sign this petition. 2k might make a patch to support SM2.0(shader model) if it reaches 5000. That way some of us won't have to spend money on a new video card just to play the game.

EDIT - There is an unofficial fix right now, I am about to try it. they have a blog page here - http://bioshocksm2.blogspot.com/
