Now, could somebody please direct me to the best computer on the market right now?
I don't need a monitor, speakers, a keyboard or a mouse.
all I need is the actual computer (Vista based).
and by "Best" I mean the best gaming computer. I don't give a crap about anything else.
Gaming, gaming, gaming and gaming.
EDIT:
Actually, I lied. I would like to get on the internet, use AIM, MSN and run Project64 (but that would probably fall under "Gaming" anyway)

You want to build it yourself or just buy one?
http://www.falcon-nw.com/ for the latter.

well I would prefer to just buy a really really good one, because I can't be bothered with piecing together parts, making sure their compatible, then when the parts come building it, etc.

Project64 works on Vista? hmm
anyway if you want to run any games on Vista you NEED 2 gigs of ram and a ballsy video card. A high end 256mb card or a medium end 512 card should do it.
I'd rather build my own computer but that is just because it will cost less, especially if you have a "base" computer to steal stuff from (power supply, DVD drive ect)

I'm getting a new laptop from Lenovo. It's a great computer, and a good deal too. You might want to consider them.
Lenovo ThinkPad T Series
Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
2 GB RAM DDR2
15.4" widescreen display
160 GB HD
DVD R/RW Dual Layer
256 MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 chipset
It also came with a boatload of insurace (i got it in a package through UNC, my college). It's $2,137. It also has one of those cool fingerprint scanners. College paid for $1,500 of it too

im just going to flatout suggest that you do NOT get a laptop for Vista, I've heard nothing but issues when it comes to games.

And that laptop's video card isn't really designed for gaming, either. On the other hand, anyone who buys a laptop for gaming is silly.
