Any body else watch this show?

i watched a few of the first episodes, but its like prison break for me, they just drag the story line along

Season 1 was arguably the best single season of any show in the history of television for me. Season 2 wasn't quite up to the level that Season 1 set, but it was still top notch. Season 3 has been a severe let down with the exception of a few sporadic episodes, and I'm starting to grow weary without questions being answered, or the plot advancing with regularity. I still watch every week, and love the show, but it's been heading in the wrong direction for awhile now, and I only hope it can rebound as the end of Season 3 approaches.

i've watched already all 2 episodes, and 12 series of the 3-d! it's awesome i love this serial very-very much! but they(directors) could some kind of speed up the action! but anyways, i love it!

I think the reason it has seemed to go down hill is because season 1 was full of mystery, with the monster and the others and of course the hatch. Then season 2 is good with the hatch and we learn more about "the others". Season 3 has been up and down for me. Alot of filler material has been in this season, especially two weeks ago with the story of Nikki and Paulo. I think alot of people would agree with me when I say Michael and Walt were very good for the show. Walt's "powers", or whatever, added some mystery to the show.
The one thing to keep in mind is the name of the show. Lost is meant for everybody, the actors are lost because they don't know what's going to happen, the people on the island are of course lost, and the viewers are lost in what is going to happen next. I'm pretty sure the writers know what they are doing, but they are spreading season 3 pretty thin. Maybe the show backfired on them and now they are lost.
Things to look for - (possible spoilers if you haven't seen the show)
Why and how Locke is leaving, now that there is no submarine.
Juliette was left behind, is she a mole or was she left behind because she tried to get Ben killed.
The smoke monster may be trapped inside the barrier where the village is.
Where were the Others were going with those gas masks? Back to the other island?

did anyone see the most recent episode
Sat Apr 07, 2007 1:55 am
Yes, I did. Much better than last week's episode.
Sat Apr 07, 2007 1:57 am
Same here, what do you think the monster was?
Sat Apr 07, 2007 2:50 am
I have no idea, but it sounds like it is a machine of sorts with the noises you hear when it comes around. It can also look at your memories or something, and apparently turn into a fist and toss you around.

Did you see the flashes that the monster was giving off? It seems like it was trying to stun juliet and kate, or even take their picture.
Sat Apr 07, 2007 5:56 am
Not sure how much of Lost you haven't seen, but the flashes were the moster scanning Juliette, or something similar. In the first season, Locke was confronted by the monster but they didn't show what happened, other than Locke not being hurt by it. They showed Eko getting confronted by the monster once, and it flashed images of his flashbacks when you looked at it frame by frame.

Ohh, and by the way Season 3 is good so far

I stopped watching after the first season.. How long can you be stuck on an island for!!
Mon Feb 11, 2008 1:10 am
I have watched the Season4.EP02 just now , it's so amazing. What about U ? Do U like it ?
Mon Feb 11, 2008 1:36 am
It's a good show, no doubt about that... It's way overrated, though. I can't believe it gets 15+ million viewers while Heroes or Prison Break (which are 10x better IMO) struggle to get 10 million.
Mon Feb 11, 2008 1:49 am
I watched season one and got bored because the series never really progressed, some random stuff just happened like polar bears and such... haven't watched it since then.
Mon Feb 11, 2008 7:40 am
i could never get into lost, i tried watching the first season, which wasnt too bad, but it seems a bit stupid to me that they could be lost for sooo long
Mon Feb 11, 2008 8:04 am
Merged with the original Lost thread.
They have only been lost for a few months. I enjoy it, but I am getting tired of the gimmick. They are always raising more questions then answering them. The questions are not really why I watch. They just revealed that only 6 people will make it off the island. So far, 2 of them are Jack and Hurley.
I feel insulted with the scene where they had Ben tied up and wanted some answers, so they asked him what the smoke monster was and Ben replied "What smoke monster?" It just brings up another question because the security "gate" they had around the dharma compound was supposed to keep it out, and they showed that it couldn't get through the gate when it was on.
Gotta love the writers strike, it shortened this season to 16 episodes.
Mon Feb 11, 2008 8:21 am
Agreed Pdub

It seems like they're just getting deeper and deeper.
Like with the whole Polar Bear thing in Tunisia. You'd think they would use that as a gateway to explain some things, but who knows, they might as well just not mention that again at all..
By the way, they showed that Kate also gets off the island in the last season finale. Plus, don't we already know that Michael and his son also got off (Before Locke blew up the submarine)?
And I might be remembering incorrectly here, but Ben didn't say "What smoke monster". He said he didn't know what it is..
Mon Feb 11, 2008 9:24 am
Your right, Ben said "I don't know." I think I interpreted it as a question from the viewers and an answer from the producers. Not sure why Locke asked him the question since he was confronted by the "monster" in the first or second seasons and said he saw a white light, while other people are seeing black smoke.
