Animal Hip Dysplasia

Anybody have any animals (cat/dog) that has had this condition .. and if so .. how are they doing? Are they okay? Did medication fix them? Surgery?

I know what it is .. I've read about it online .. I am just curious to know what it is I may have to go through with one of my cats if he's diagnosed with this tomorrow morning.
