PS3 decisions

Okay well this weekend I'm finally getting a PS3, so pumped you can't even believe. Originally I was going to get a 20-32'' LCD TV first and then save up for a PS3 later, but I've changed my mind and can't resist the PS3. So for now I only have a crappy 19'' electrohome tv, or a 32'' Sony tv which isn't too bad I suppose.
My question is, how much of a difference graphics wise, will I notice from PS2 on my standard TV. Like will I be THAT dissapointed after seeing all these screen shots from HDTV's, and then playing them on my standard TV?
And I really need to know what game to get. I'm stuck between Resistance and NBA 2k7. Both are great, and eventually I'll get both, but for now I can't decide. Resistance I've played, and its amazing online, but I know what to expect from 2k too.
Oh and one more question, what cables does it come with. I know I could look around, but i don't know whether composite is HD or not.

You will still be quite happy with your graphics on your PS3, but when you eventually do get an HDTV, you will fully understand what you've been missing out on. There is a noticable difference in playing on a HDTV vs a non-HDTV.
