It's all very subjective, to me. For example, rarely, if ever, do you hear Michael Jordan referred to as Mike. Similarly, you'd never hear for New York Rangers Goale Mike Richter referred to at Michael, etc. It depends largely on what flows with the last name, I think. I have a cousin who I always call Michael, cause it sounds better with his last name, and a friend who goes by Mike. Standing alone, though, I'd say Mike is the best.

Well like Michael Vick goes by that and Mike Vick. So yeah it is very subjective. I prefer Mike as well.

It's subjective like bigh0rt said. If my last name is Dick, which it isn't, I'd rather have Michael than Mike.

I picked Michael.

But I didn't really like any of the 3. I'd hate to have that name or any of its abbreviations.

Michael kind of sounds too proper.

Mick sounds like an immature douchebag.

Mike sounds just right.
