Current Favourite Game

Postby volsey on Sun Dec 31, 2006 2:57 pm

K well I know theres been threads similar to this, but this one will be a little different, and hopefully this one will stay up to date.
Just post your favourite games for your different consoles that you own.

PS2 - Final Fantasy XII - just beat X that i borrowed from a friend, and then my bro bought me this so i've started it, pretty good, keep me busy

PSP - Medal of Honor: Heroes - soo fun online with 32 players

PC - Battlefield 1942 (and all those dang expansions)
K well I just got a new computer for xmas, and this is pretty much the first brand new, up to date, not used, good computer I've ever had. My last computer wasn't horribly bad or anything, it was probably just an average computer, but everything was used stuff that my uncle got for us(free but not stolen or anything). So this is pretty much the first time I've been able to play a computer game to it's full potential at home, and even though battlefield isnt that great a game, right now to me, i find it pretty impressive.

To be honest I started this thread to find out about what computer games you guys are playing, since I now have a computer than can play good games, but i thought of this idea, and hopefully you guys can keep it going. Im going away tomarrow, and might be going shopping, so if some of you guys could tell me what some good games are, itll help.

CS:S, Garry's Mod, Madden, SD vs. Raw 2007, PES 6, and the NBA 2k7 demo on my 360 since I already bought it for regular Xbox and haven't yet been able to rationalize buying it again for $60.

Xbox 360 - NBA 2K7: So addicting, and I am getting really into an Association. Best basketball game ever in my humble opinion.

Tony Hawk's Project 8: The first decent Tony Hawk game since THUG; and quite possibly the best Hawk game to date. I'm a huge TH fan and this exceeds my high expectations.

PS2 - Resident Evil 4: A brilliant game with excellent graphics, tons of unlockables, and a long, relatively challenging, addicting story mode with extremely fun gameplay.

PS1 - Twisted Metal 2: Been out over a decade and I still love it and play it nearly ever week. Multiplayer is still fun and it beats all successors to date.

PC: Live, Madden, Tony Hawk American Wasteland.....and yes...the ever popular World of Warcraft

PS2: Guitar Hero owns every game ever made to me.

Arcade: I havent seen a good NEW arcade game in years, DDR is my standby with always a good round of classic capcom thrown in between rounds

NES: Mike Tyson's Punchout-This game is amazing for how basic it is. Love it

SNES: Currently trying to actually suffer through Mario RPG...

Wii: Rayman Raving Rabbids-AWESOME

after looking at this list and realizing i actually do play all of these right now on a regular basis....that could explain my gpa this semester....

And trust me, you don't want to play the new one. Smackdown vs Raw 2007 totally blows. (N)

My current favorite is the Gungame-Deathmatch mod for Counter Strike Source. Its constant shooting and dieing and respawning. It really works your first person shooter reflexes.
I reinstalled Thief: Deadly Shadows, one of my favorites.

PC : Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, all day baby. Hah, I tried to 'upgrade' to Battlefield 2 and certainly would have liked to but my laptop isn't powerful enough to make it enjoyable, so I'll stick with ET.

XBox : Far Cry Instincts, soon Evolutions. NBA 2k6, Halos.

I love Gungame, except when I'm on glock or five-seven and can't get a kill for 10 consecutive rounds. Nothing more satisfying than a nade kill however.

BigKaboom2, when you have the glock, aim for the neck and unload. I really hate it when I have the AK or M4 and face off with someone using an smg, for some reason I always get headshotted. I'm really good whith the Galil for some reason.

I eventually get a kill with the glock, it's just very likely that I'm going to eat a headshot before I can fire six rounds into someone. I also seem to get killed by SMGs from long distances....curious.
