That's really sad about the girl cause she's 6 and has the mind of say a 2 year old... but I'm a bit iffy on the doctors stopping her growth... I don't get how it's going to work in the long run :(

The reasons for the treatment are understandable and it's something the parents are obviously doing out of love since they want her to remain a part of the family but the whole idea does have an uncomfortable feeling about it.

Yep, they puttin estrogen into her body so that it stops her physical growth, hence she wont hit puberty when she's sposed too, etc... im not sure if her condition stops her mental development completely... i didn't understand a bit of the article...

I think the parents are doing the right thing in this case, its obvious they want the child to stay in family care.Disabled kids get really heart-broken if they leave their parents even for a short while.Believe me I know from personal experience which I handle every day.My brother has a similar condition ,he can't walk,he can't sit up on his own.And me and my family need to be strong in serious situation's,where you start to doubt yourself, that isn't the greatest feeling. So in this case if the parents think they can really handle it then I applaud their decision.
