Well I just got my 360 last week as I said previously and a copy of NBA 2k7. NBA 2k7 is great and all, but I'm not fully into the NBA swing yet. I'm somewhat still in football mood, mainly because I'm still playing in my HS season and football's all over TV. But I've heard a lot of bad reactions to Madden 07 similar to that of NBA Live 07. Right now I need another game to kinda satisfy me. I'm a big sports gamer, basically that's what I play more often than not because of replay value and FPS's tend to bore me for some reason (unless playing multiplayer).
Right now I'm thinking about:
Madden 07-as I said above, it looks like a miss judging by reviews and complaints, especially with the bugs and stuff.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance-I read some stuff on it about a week ago and it looks pretty solid. I've been a fan of those comic heroes for a looong time and I think it might end up being a great game. It's also gotten really good reviews.
Saint's Row-I played the Demo for about 20 minutes and it's basically GTA on 360. It looks pretty cool with more features and improved graphics, although not maximizing 360's graphical capabilities. Some of the people don't look too good, kinda like straight out of regular XBox but the environments are really well done.
Need for Speed: Carbon-Newest installment from EA and I think I need a racing game on the 360.

Saints Row will keep you occupied for a while
Fight Night round 3 is another great pickup. NHL 07 is good too, but I only like the Multiplayer
another great game IMO is Dead Rising. Id wait on reviews for Carbon and Madden + NCAA Football games are OK, but they are $120 I wish I could get back.

Saints Row would be the best game out of those. Madden 07 for the 360 pretty much sucks (no edit roster, no fantasy draft, other bugs).

I agree that Saints Row is the best game out of that list. It's such an addictive game and is good to play with friends as well.
Ultimate Alliance looks pretty sweet as well. Might pick that up down the track when the price drops a bit.
Another option is COD2, which should be cheap. On a side note I can't wait for Tony Hawk's Project 8 and COD3. Not to mention NBA 2k7 which isn't out in Oz yet.

yep, out of that list, I'd go with Saints Row....if you want a football game, I've heard College Football 2k7 is good, although since they don't release here in Oz, that's just hearsay....
but yeah, I was a doubter of Saints Row before I got the game, but I was pleasantly surprised, as have a few other 360 owners....
haven't read reviews on Marvel Alliance yet, but if you're big into that scene, & it reviews well, then you might want to give that a look

I signed up for a $20 monthly subscription with Hollywood Video (Block buster has it also) to rent one game at a time..and keep it for however long i please then exchange it for any other game i choose.
Considering the price of buying one xbox 360 game is $64 with tax..i'd say it's a good deal if you're an avid gamer like me. I rented marvel ultimate alliance and im about to return it for saint's row then mk: armagedon. In 3 months time i will have throughly played and enjoyed all released xbox 360 games worth playing to that point. Thats the price of buying one game.

There's a lot of good games out and coming out around this time since PS3 is about to release. Tony Hawk Project 8, Rainbow 6 vegas, Splinter Cell Double Agent.

Well my local blockbuster doesn't rent out 360 games and I have no idea where my closest Hollywood Video is. I'm guessing about 30 miles away and I'm skeptical as to whether they rent 360 games as well.

Then try an online rental service like gamefly..it's even cheaper and lets you rent more than one game at a time. Im not using it cause i like the convenience of running to the hollywood video cause it's only 2 mins from my house.

Just wondering, where is there a hollywood video in Vestal? I might be interested in that 20$ deal thing.

Right off vestal parkway next to biglots. There is also two of them in binghamton. Try www.hollywoodvideo.com for locations near you.

TBD, how bout Top Spin 2? If your a tennis fan that'd be perfect, otherwise i'd go with NFS or Saints Row

Naw, I'm not a tennis fan. But I'll tell you I was presently surprised by VirtuaTennis on Dreamcast lol. I got it in a bundle and never played it until I was bored once and the graphics were great and the gameplay was so addicting. I played the NFS: Carbon demo a little bit and it seems alot like Midnight Club 3.
I'm also considering NCAA Football 07 too because I'm hooked on that demo. I'll have to read a couple reader reviews.
