NBA PC Games?

Hello,
Sorry if this is brought up a lot...I tried doing a search but couldn't really find anything.
I'm not exactly happy with NBA Live 07 (I doubt I have to go into this), and was hoping to find an alternative NBA game to play on a PC. However, I don't have the funds to get a console (Barely make enough to pay the bills). I've tried looking all over the place for a new one, including NCAA Basketball games, but couldn't find anything outside of Live. So, does anybody know of another NBA game for the PC?
I also own a Gamecube, and tried to find new basketball games for it but could only find ones for Playstation and X-box. Although I'd perfer a game for PC (To play on my laptop, giving me the ability to play wherever I am), I'd be willing to buy a game for Gamecube aswell if there is none for PC. Or are new NBA games only made for Playstation and Xbox?
If there really is nothing else then I'll just go back to NBA Live 06, although I would rather have a new game.

As far as I know, the only PC NBA game is Live. There is a petition for there to be 2K8 for the PC floating around somewhere, however.

according to gamefaqs...for PC, you're screwed, there are no other bball games as bigh0rt said.....and it appears support for the gamecube nba games stopped in '06 (also from gamefaqs)...hate to tell you this, but i think you're S.O.L if you want a current game...perhaps it'll be better after the patch?

You have 2 choices basically, play the Live EA gave us, or play the Live we patch....there really isnt anything else that made it past 2000
