Tiger Woods Golf

Postby Fitzy on Thu Oct 26, 2006 7:17 pm

After the disappointment of nba live, ive kind of been looking at other sports games, Tiger Woods seems to be a game we dont talk about here but i used to be right into the golf games. Does anyone have it? is it worth a look?[/b]

I played the 360 demo at my friends, yea it looks good but golf games are pretty boring to me. The best I've played was a 088 golf game that you could make your own courses with, I spend a lot of time with that >10 years ago.

I've played it a bit and it's alright but nothing special. Most stuff are almost the same year after year though, but if you play the career mode (or whatever it's called) it's quite fun the first time. Then again, I almost started playing golf a few years back and still got an interest in it, so that might just be me...

Tuomas: There's a course architect in Tiger Woods as well. I haven't tried it since 2004 though, and that one sucked pretty badly..

I have Tiger 07 for PC.

Well my history, i first played 02 for PS2, sold it and got 2004 and still play that one. Got 2005 for PC and never played it, and now I have 07 for the PC. What you need to know is that the PC version is more or less a simulation game, not arcadey with power shots and weird spin like the consoles.

Every one of the the Tiger games are great...just that its so good its repetitive and nothing really changes year to year.
Opinions are my own.

I downloaded the demo for the x360, is pretty good and solid, but thefact is its just a bit too simple, you just swing and that´s all. I´m pretty happy with the demo and I don´t see reason to buy the full vs.

Funny you made this thread when I just got the game  .
Its alright mate,I'm really liking it and if golf isn't boring to you, than I say why not get it.
Also I really like how you can swing with the mouse its a very realistic factor.

I used to play the Tiger Woods series alot a while back but as someone stated before its like the same game over and over with just a few graphical facelifts. Yes they have a couple new features and stuff but when it gets down to the nitty gritty its nothing thats keeps you overly excited for a long period of time. When your new to the game you get addicted quick but otherwise its just whatever.

One of friends has it, he says it's his favourite game. I don't know about them just upgrading graphics and such, but I do know that if you like golf and it doesn't bore you, this is the game for you. (Y)

Looking forward to playing 07 also on the xbox. Tiger along with Nba Street are Ea Sports better franchises imo. Tiger is kick ass to play but does get repetitive quicker because its golf. tiger and true swing golf for nintendo ds are the best golf games out in the market.
