Yet another computer problem

i felt i hadn't made enough computer issue posts recently, so i'm making one now.

occasionally firefox decides the the slash key, the apostrophe key, and control-f all do the same thing (pulling up the find box). thus i can't type them in my posts. they dont appear in my posts at all, they just pull up the find box. on top of that, the shortcut keys for cut, copy, and paste, do nothing.

its happened twice now, the other one went away after a while, and i have no idea what is going wrong.

this one appears to be firefox-related though, since everything works fine in word.

Reformat your computer or something. Or if you down't want to do that, just change your browser like Jugs said.

Damn it Peach, don't recommend the "COOLmac" solution for PC problems.

Maybe your shortcut keys for Firefox are screwed up?

Use Opera.
Firefox is safe but slow.
IE is fast but not safe.
Opera is about as safe as Firefox and about as fast as IE.

I've experienced the slash problem once. I just shut down firefox, then reoponed it and it was fine. Never had that problem again.

Instead of the "COOLmac solution" since its just firefox, why not get rid of it completely first?

I actually made my joke because I didn't think you got koberulz's joke, in an attempt to harmlessly mock both of you at once. He started the thread saying he couldn't type any slashes whatsoever, then ironically used one in response to your post, which was devilishly clever.
