I used to know a girl thats dad was the owner of a huge power company, and he sold it and was one of the top richest people in NZ. He still wears jandals, a singlet and his old wide brimmed hat. He drives a piece of shit car, and he doesnt really care about it... I like people like that, money doesnt change them.

I think that's awesome that the Ikea guy doesn't let the money get to his head. He just isn't a person that likes to live his life with extra un-needed luxuries, and that's cool.

I know I wouldn't be able to have that type of self control, I'd have Ferraris, Maseratis, Rolls Royce's and all that shit, but he's stayed true to himself, and I really respect that.

He drives a 1988 Porsche but he owns that. I guess that rules out him not letting money go to his head.

Can't blame the guy... once you're in the billions millions seem like pocket change. :P

How come it does start at 42,000 US$? Here in Italy (I think it's the same price for the rest of Europe too) the standard A6 model (2.0 TFSI, 125 CV, 170 kW, 6-speed manual transmission, with no quattro) starts at €36,000. It should start at that price, just in dollars.

The software executive (Lawrence Ellison) has a penchant for adventure, be it in his MIG fighter jet

 I always wanted one of those.

If I am rich as those guys now, I would probably drive the Tumbler a.k.a. the Batmobile in Batman Begins
From Wiki:
Although more than one unit was built and not all the units were fully functional, four mostly-working Tumblers were built for the film. Drivable versions were powered by 5.7 litre(350 in³) Chevrolet "LS-1" V8 engines producing 330 horsepower in their factory configurations, giving the vehicle the capability to accelerate from a standstill to sixty miles per hour in about six seconds; one stand-in Tumbler featured a working jet engine, while another had working flaps.

I just like how most of these folks understand that you dont need a $500,000 car to show you are a player or anything. These people are billionare beacuse the made alot of good decisions in life. Drving modest cars reflects those decisions.

$36,000 US is only 28 in Euros.....which means that Euros would buy their cars in American and have them imported as it would probably be cheaper.
