Thank god that this didn't go through. At least 20 planes were said to be targeted... and people try to justify terrorsim. They should burn those peices of shit. There is no justification for targeting people on planes that have nothing to do with world politics.

Cloudy, terrorism isn't a game of who is right or wrong, or what political side you sit on. It's a real threat to everyday living. I just wish people understood that.

Well llooks like i'll have to look for any suspicious package/bags on the train today lol

this sucks though, i hope those people who are responsible for this is not middle eastern. Seriously, this is getting annoying if it's them again. (Al'Queda or any other middle east terrorist groups)

I'm curious as well... I've yet to in all my travels, find people other than terrorist supporters who try and 'justify' it.

That could have been huge. I was watching this on CNN, Fox, and MSNBC and it seemed pretty serious. They had LA as one of the "high security" airports. I'm sure there's no problems there but regardless it adds a small stress level when I fly there later this month, I already dont enjoy flying.

Yea, and just to think I flew to both of those places this summer. I eyed every damn body on that plane. It was even one guy that got up before the seat belt light turned off when we took off and I was like "WTF is he about to do?!?" and he went to the bathroom, then a lady got up and went to the bathroom so I thought they were trying to plan something then, but luckily it wasn't anything.

Oh please. I've been negatively affected by the acts of 9/11 and other terrorist attacks just as much, or maybe even more than everybody else. You think I would support these fools? I would NEVER support anybody who makes me, as a Muslim, ashamed. PLEASE never say I try to justify terrorism, because I don't. I don't try to justify people blowing themselves up. I don't try to justify people flying planes into buildings. We had what I believed was a respectful debate in another thread, and you have the nerve to bring my name up in this thread? Unbelievable.

This is great news, however the reality of the situation is that there are hundreds of more plots being planned right now. We must remain proactive if we want to stop the ones that might come to fruitation.

I just watched TV and they said that there were actually harmless substances in their hand luggage that were part of an explosive cocktail which would have been prepared during flight.

I am seriously sorry, and I promise that this will not happen again.

Yes, apparently they could make an explosive device using just household items and a few of the items were some kind of liquids. Apparently, you aren't allowed to bring liquids onto a flight unless it is medicine or baby formula (but the mother or father must test it in front of security).

I heard that you are only allowed to take money, passport, flight tickets, and essential medical items with you, which are all put into special bags that are given to all passengers.

So you support terrorism? You think it is the power of Allah to kill Americans? Is that what I'm hearing?
