The "Have Your Random Question Answered Thread!"

This kind of thread may have already been made, and if it was, go ahead and delete it...

Anyway, this is a thread where you can have random questions answered, and it will prevent little questions requiring a whole thread...

So I will start off: Here is a hypothetical question...

If there were 4 people on a boat that is sinking:

- a man
-his mother
-his wife
- and finally his child

Who should he save, the mother, wife, child, or just run away?

I would save my wife, because the mother is already old anyway, she will die soon...

As for the child, you can always have more...

Your thoughts?

This question has always amazed me, since watching 28 Days Later. What would you do if the world was invaded by zombies? I'll probably look for a huge van and look for survivors and get a gun somehow

You obviously save the innocent child that has a whole life ahead of him/her. I'd save a child over a grown adult...but like Cable said you should try to save them all. Starting with the child and then moving to the wife and then the mother.

Well, let's discard:

- You can't save your mother, just because she's too old to be chosen on this kind of mental games.
- You can't save your wife because her son will die and she prolly will suicide (or not).
- You can save the kid but maybe he doesn't have any grandpa, so maybe he'll be alone in the world.
- The smartest way is to run away, but... here come the moral problems and all that thing. It would be definatelly the best FOR YOU, but ... you know... maybe you will save the kid because the rest of people in the boat would choose that too.

I like this kind of games.

In fact, this is a very good question that I have been asking myself a couple of times. Exquisite! I really can't imagine what people thought about this question on 9/11, when this question was reality. For sure. People turn too much attention to things they don't like here on these forums. They actual make a negative comment rather than a positive, that is what these forums live of.
