Problem with Firefox

Postby koberulz on Sun Aug 06, 2006 12:17 am

i recently went through and did a cleanup of my bookmarks in mozilla firefox. somehow, i managed to delete the "Bookmark this page" option from the bookmarks menu, which leaves me kinda screwed as far as creating a new bookmark is concerned. any idea what happened/how i can fix this?

If you can't figure it out, Ctrl+D is the bookmark this page keyboard code thing.

I'm having a problem with Firefox myself. I'm going to be looking around the internet but I figured maybe I should just post it here, as well.

I simply cannot open my Firefox browser. When I click on the icon the window does not pop up. Instead, the hour glass comes up and keeps flashing on and off and it never stops. As I'm typing this it is still going. I've tried rebooting and that didn't help at all. I can't even end the application or process to make the stupid flashing stop without rebooting the computer again. Does anyone know what the hell is wrong with my browser?

That happened to me once with Firefox but I just uninstalled and reinstalled it and then it worked fine for me (Y) . But if you dont wanna do that then maybe defraging ur hard drive might work idk but its a suggestion.

i've just been right-clicking on the tab at the top of the browser and selecting bookmark this tab...having forgotten about the problem and wasted ten seconds in the bookmarks menu. i would like to know how i somehow managed to delete that option though....

I've got a problem too. Whenever I open Quicktime related stuff on FireFox it doesn't work, all it shows is the Quicktime logo with a question mark on it. It works fine on IE but if I go on youtube.com on Firefox it does this to every video. Does anyone have that problem too? I need help. It gets annoying having to open IE everytime just to watch a video or two.

I used to have problems with video plug-ins on Firefox too, but then one day they all magically started working. With the hour glass problem, have you tried going into the task manager to see if its not running already? If it is just close it and then Firefox should open normally.
