Favourite Wrestler of All Time?

Postby Gator on Fri Jul 28, 2006 4:17 am

Who are your favourite wrestlers. They can be current or not. I'd have to say that my favourite wrestler is Sting and Bret Hart.

Yours?

In terms of entertainment, I'd say The Rock without a doubt. He had great promos, although I couldn't praise the same for his wrestling.

Strictly wrestling and putting up highly rated matches, I'd say Bret Hart and Undertaker. Any match of theirs, I've always enjoyed it. Living in Canada, where Bret Hart was some kind of icon back in the day, I'd say Bret Hart would be my favorite wrestler of all time, since I fondly remember the first wrestling match I saw on T.V was his famous match between him and Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania.

Right now I'd say my favorites are Chris Jericho and Samoa Joe.

I don't watch wrestling too much, because I don't like fake things, but I admire Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit because of their technique.

my favorite is the rock
why we need 2 threads is because no mod has seen this so they can't merge it yet, but i don't know why Gatorade didn't start this in the WWE thread

A TV Show and a Movie you know from the first it's fake, wrestling you don't...actually there's people I know that are still finding excuses to claim that wrestling isn't fake.

i'll bite. wrestling isn't fake. it is, however, predetermined.

to say that it's fake implies that there is no actual talent involved. they actually go out there and wrestle. the only difference between a wwe match and a wwe match if it were 100% real is pulled punches and kicks, and the rersult being predetermined. most moves hurt just as much as they are portrayed to.

Yeah, you're right...I totally forgot they're physically and mentally prepared for such thing, so it's not fake.

I gotta say Stone Cold,

but when I actually used to watch wrestling it was the original N.W.O., and not the Wolfpack

Who? 5 yr olds? My 8 yr old sister knows it's not real. Besides, while the matches are predetermined. All the stuff they do aren't. What they do in the ring are mostly done on the fly and while most of the moves don't hurt as much as when you're intention is to hurt the other person, they still hurt. Which is why a lot of wrestlers have been addicted to pain medication because they work 250 days a year (at least in the WWE's case) and it hurts like hell.

Nevermind, I didn't see koberulez post. It's basically the same as what he said

okay, fine. let me drop you off a ladder onto some thumbtacks, whip you with barbed wire and put you through a flaming table. then try and tell me it's fake.

why don't you tell droz who's now stuck in a wheelchair that it's fake. or mick foley who got his ear ripped off that it's fake.

hell, take an enziguri from Samoa Joe or Low Ki and tell me that it's fake
