Good websites

Postby Nick on Thu Jul 27, 2006 1:04 pm

I'm pretty much strapped for cash... meaning i have herpes.

Anyway, i have like 2 or 3 non-NBA-related websites bookmarked that i look at, so i have no good sites to visit during the NBA offseason. http://explosm.net/ is one of them, NLSC forum is another, and some nbalive leagues are the others.

So basically i get bored as hell. Can somebody introduce to me some decent websites that i can visit daily? What do you visit?

Also, bored.com and all that other crap doesn't count.

I find Snopes.com is always an interesting read. If you've never been there before, you could easily spend/waste a lot of time reading up on the origins of urban legends and whether or not they're true or at least based on true events.

The Shadowlands is another one I'll check out from time to time. Whether you believe in ghosts and such or you're a skeptic, it's entertaining.

Yeah Snopes is good, so is Wikipedia... Just select a random article and you add more stuff to your knowledge. Metacafe is good too, try getting their program... Lots of videos (Y) Then also deviantART and ebay...

Sometimes I get really into shoes, then there's kix-files.com, crookedtongues.com, niketalk.com... And some other sites to check out what's the fashion hype out there like hypebeast.com etc...

Also, it's good to visit your local websites and know about the FOOD and TRAVEL tips... Always fun to explore your own city and go try the "recommended" restaurants.

lol oh Wikipedia... yesterday I must have spent hours reading up on Marvin Gaye and his records... and then another half hour on TAmmi Terrell and then another half hour on Marvin's daughter Nona (who by the way sang the Star Spangled Banner at the 2004 all-star game in LA, 21 yrs after Marvin sang it at the Forum in '83)

I like watching the videos on NBA TV Broadband

A few other sites I read are probably of no interest to you but,

Hoopshype
The United Force (I doubt you'll get much entertainment from this one but we sometimes talk about interesting things on the forum)
Colbert Nation You can never get enough Colbert
Dreamland Resort (all the things you ever wanted to know about Area 51, it also comes complete with great photos and a great forum)

Hoopshype.com is like my most visited NBA website - i check it every day. However it doesn't take up much time.

That uniquepeek.com site kept my entertained for a bit today. Adult games :cheeky:
