Help with my Ipod!!

Ok, so my ipod broke a while ago..and I was told it was the headphone port that is broken because everything works but i get no sound

so i was wondering wtf the other hole was and if its only for like speakers or would i be able to have a pair of headphones plugged into it

please help

It may work. I'm no Ipod expert since I dont have one but its labeled for headphones so try out one with a connection that fits. I'm assuming its the one marked x.

Better yet, go to apples website and search around, you may find a solution somewhere in the faqs or something.

the one marked x is a headphone port and thats whats broke on my ipod

the other one is a remote port and i dont know if theres a such thing as an adapter for it and if music would even come out of it

The remote port is for special headphones that have controls on them (like pause, play, skip, and volume control.) I'm pretty sure that you're not going to be able to get a pair of headphones working on it, for the plugs that work with the remote port have two things at the end where you plug it in. A plug for the normal headphone slot, which transfers the sound, and another plug for the remote port, which makes the buttons on the headphones work. If the headphone slot that transfers the sound doesn't work, I don't see how any other pair of headphones can get music into your ears. :(
