Best game soundtracks

Which games do you think have the best soundtracks? After playing Need For Speed Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted, I just noticed how many great artists I discovered from listening to the soundtracks of those games. Madden also has some great soundtracks as well... from those games I discovered some bands that now has songs that I can actually call my favorites. Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Story of the Year and Chamillionaire

Grand Theft Auto Vice City had the best soundtrack of anny GTA gme, and imo best game soundtrack ever.
(GTAIII had good underground music, San Andreas was pretty bad)

Well I like NFL 06 soundtrack...

The Madden that had 'Back In The Mud' by Bubba Sparxx and 'Never Scared NFL Remix' by Bone Crusher. 04 I think

I hate the music in GTA San Andreas, I end up riding bikes everywhere because I don't want to listen to the garbage on the radio stations. Vice City was the best by far.

Be honest, you chose the bike so you could ride away jingling the bell cheerfully after a mission. Just the same as missions in GTA3 were much more fun when completed in the ice cream van.

I don't usually pay much attention to game soundtracks...but I'd probably say one of the Need for Speed games, NBA Live 2000, 2003, 2004 and 06 rank up there for me as far as the NBA Live series is concerned and WWE Smackdown vs RAW rank up there for me. And while I wouldn't call it a fantastic soundtrack as such, the original Super Mario Bros games (1-3) had the most addictive music of the era.

I was a big fan of the Fight Night soundtracks, And1 streetball has a good one, Madden of course, Live's has been getting better, GTA: SA, Tony Hawk games, that's all I can think of off the top of the head.

Live's soundtrack has always been bad but yeah, I guess it's been getting a little better. San Andreas wins my vote hands down. Guns-n-Roses!

Definetly Mario. The underground level 2 of mario is pretty much the best song i've ever heard.

Couldn't you of just turned off the radio?

NBA Live 06 had some awesome songs (Remember The Name, The one by Chamillionaire, Grind Time? etc.)

The Legend of Zelda theme and the Final Fantasy theme are probably 2 of the best video game songs ever composed.

However, overall, Chrono Trigger had the best music.

My favourites are - WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, NBA Live 2004, Need 4 Speed Underground 2, GTA Vice City and San Andreas and Aggresive Inline (Don't Sweat the Technique ).

hmm....The original Tony Hawk was cool. I loved the Goldfinger and Primus stuff in there. And the Metal Gear Solid soundtracks are always good for pumping you up for the game although they're mostly instrumentals. Their theme song is always great

I love the sountracks that feature in EAs Fifa games. That international flavor always gets my toes jingle-jongling.
