So me and my friend were playing catch and he was stading by one of my windows (for whatever reason) and I knew him the ball. He was a pussy and got out of the way and the ball smashed right through a window. He claims he "lost the ball in the tree" and he was going to "play the ball off the bounce of the house". I call bullshit. So now the window is busted and it looks like I will have to pay for it. How much does a window usually cost? I measured it and it's about 3 feet by 2 feet (i think). I hope it isn't that much because as some of yo know by a previous thread of mine, I'm out of a job.
You guys have similar experiences? How does a 17 year old explain to his dad that his friend is a pussy and broke our window? Especially considering I threw it.

"Mom always says 'Don't Play Ball In The House'"

This happened to me when I was younger but it wasn't my window.

Jonathan and I headed to play golf (god knows why, we were idiots) at the school. I took the first swing and to my amazement it went directly through the middle window of a house about a hundred yards away from us so we took off running and got away with it.
As far as how much that window will cost to replace, I'd say around $75-100 but I'm not sure.

100 yards?
I'm not a golf expert, but that's a helluva swing.

Well, it was a while back but from what I remember the house was pretty distant because we played as far as we could away from the house so that we wouldn't hit a house or a car. It seemed like you could set a football field with ease between us and the house so that's why I said a hundred yards but you can probably give or take ten or so yards.

100 yards isn't that much.
A typical length for a par three hole is anywhere between 91 to 224 m (100 to 250 yds.), for a par four, between 225 to 434 m (251 to 475 yds.). Par five holes are typically at between 435 m (476 yds.) and 630 m (690 yds.), and par six holes are anything longer than that.

I've played golf maybe 3-4 times at pitch-n-putt courses. And without a driver I hit in 80-90 yards on my first day pretty easily.

Of course I told him I did it as soon as he got home. I'm a pretty responsible kid, remember that. He told me I owe him $60 and later that night he is helping me find a job. Pretty darn nice of him to start helping now.

You could steal a window at night, I bet they never have crimes like that, and nobody would suspect it was you.....

Offtopic Colin... Don't you the Amare's mouth in your signature is a little messed up? Maybe you should fix that.

This kid at my school wanted to have a party while his parents away. He was stayin at his nan's so he didnt have a key. Anyway, he smashed a window to get in, then had one of his aboriginal friends steal a new window, and his other mate (who works as a glass cutter) put it in. But he still got caught, because a guys girlfriend rang his home phone, looking for her boyfriend, but it was diverted to his parents mobile.. The dumbass said "isnt there a party there?"
