Well, if you haven't figured it out by now; this will be my thread to follow my dynasty or 'career' as Barcelona FC's GM.
I'll probably do game recaps, pre game/post game interviews, coach/player diaries and more ideas if i think of them.

BARCELONA 1- ARSENAL 0
[MATCH FACTS][MATCH FACTS 2]

Image
August 12th 2005 -
Today Barca faced off against English Premier league rival Arsenal as reigning FIFA Player Of The Year Ronaldiniho was just heating up for the upcoming season. Star striker Thierry Henry could not weave any of his magic being held to Arsenal's only goal attempt for the whole match.

ImageImage

Barca dominated in the middle with Xavi controlling the ball and Edmilson making surging runs from right back. Young Argentinean progidy Lionel Messi had his moments of brilliance at the front as well as Ronaldniho who often sparked many of the midfield surges into attack.
Midfield guns Robert Pires and Gilberto provided run for Arsenal but didn't have enough oppurtunities to convert.
Barcelona capitalized on an Arsenal turnover and Edmilson threaded an excellent through ball to Ronaldiniho who made Arsene Wenger's sleeping defense suffer.

The second half heated up as tempers flared when Sol Campbell was late on a tackle just outside the box.
A Yellow Card was pulled out and he was booked. Ronaldinho exchanged heated words with Campell and the game went on. The second half was totally one sided, Barcelona maintaing %60 of the possesion for the half; the frustration began to show in Arsenal's dissapointed squad.

Sorry for the double post. Does anyone have any suggestions?

BARCELONA 1 - REAL BETIS 1
Deco, 35th Minute - Olievera 67th Minute

QUICK RECAP

Deco & Eto'o were forces on the offensive end while Carlos Puyol as [img]always was a tower of strength in defense.
Real had more possesion early on as they pressed for oppurtunities.
Real's goalkeeper was under siege late 1st half with 2 attempts each from Ronaldinho and Deco. Xavi provided great ball movement from the centre but the supply was cut off by Real's strong defensive midfield

Barcelona shuffled the team around in the second half, bringing on Messi, Edmilson and Larsson for an attacking side. This didn't sidetrack Real Betis as they pressed on attacking from the defense; the midfield supply very dangerous.

Sorry for the quick recap, i couldn't be fucked; lol :) I'll update tommorow if im motivated enough. Also, does anyone have any tips on my roster? I want to start Messi for realism but i don't know how i should change the lineup. I run with the 4-2-3-1 formation.

In real life Barcelona play a 4-3-3 with attacking wingbacks and one striker who has 2 other guys around supporting him. Kind of like this..

I think you'd be able to fit more midfielders in with that.

Looking good so far man. (y)

Shoulda put Gudjohnsen on your roster since he recently joined but oh well.

I say 4-3-2-1

Eto'o up front, Ronaldinho AM on the left, Messi AM on the right, Xavi in the Centre of Midfield (or DM), whoever you want playing the wingers just a notch ahead of him but not beside the AMs, and the regular defenders. You could call it a 4-1-2-2-1.

Its not as tight as the regular 4-3-3 and the AMs are as close up front.

Hey Nick which Pro Evo are you playing? I got this Winning Eleven 9 and I don't see a dynasty mode? Do I play league or cup...

Great dynasty btw, don't you think FIFA is a little unreal sometimes? :?

Oh that, I'm having some trouble too... I chose to play as AC Milan, and I'm in some stupid league with really sucky teams. Went through a perfect 'season' maybe, then they say I move onto Division 1, but still sucky teams. Is this what it's supposed to do?

And I don't understand how soccer transactions are, how do you trade? Never knew you can loan players...

Yeah in master league, your team starts in the Division B, and you work your way up. You can also choose what league you want to move up into… I usually choose the English Premier league because they got the name brand teams like Arsenal, Manchester United, City, Liverpool. Occasionally I also choose the Italian Leagues.

Also loaning is just how it is described, maybe you just suck
