It didn't last very long but it was effective enought for a whole house to go up in flames. The funny thing is, no one lives at the house and its up for sale. :?
I think some kids were having a session. :shake:

Well, the topic is; anything like this happened near you or to you?

There's a huge paddock near my house (houses are gonna be built there in the next 2 years) and that used to get burnt all the time.

Similar incident happened when I was at a friend's house a couple years ago. It was a new building being built on a strip mall, but because of arson, the whole building burned down. It was crazy to watch.

Well recently a fire killed a family across the street from my mom's boyfriends house. The mother and 2 childeren were killed while the father and a daughter made it out. The father had 3rd degree burns and the daughter was fine.

It's crazy how people can become so addicted to fire, my brother's like that. I'd rather put on a sweater than start a fire.

I know of an incident similar to this...

Our neighbors "down the mountain" from us have set their trailer(s) on fire several times just to collect the insurance money. The last time they did, they claimed it was completely accidental, but rumour spreads around here pretty quickly. The whole thing was a blazing inferno... didn't take long to burn down either. I'm sure their credit is shit now, but at least they have another trailer to last them 10 years or so.

Around 4-5 months ago, a house/store was burnt to the ground and it was only 3 houses next to mine. I was fu**ing scared that my hosue would be on fire and I'd lose everything..... but luckily nothign happened...well at least nothing to my place.

When I was in boarding school some students set the administration building on fire. Got lots of porn magazines and stuff when it was put out. (y)

Fire near my residence doesn't interest me anymore (but it still scares me) after seeing the huge smoke coming out of a volcano (Mt. Pinatubo). Even if I was hundreds of kilometers away I could still see the smoke move and change shape in just minutes.
