Here is a pretty random thought that I had just tonight:
How many of you guys have friends on MSN or AIM or whatever that are pretty much your best friends but you will probably never get to meet them? And one day you will never remember them?
For example, I have some friends on my MSN (Jugs, Laxation, Zmac) that live in Victoria and there is a good chance that one day I could meet them if I wanted to. But ive been talking to Pera a bit lately and its just made me think, even though me and him are really good mates I will more then likely never get the chance to meet him and after next year, when I will be finished school and hence not be using MSN much or at all, ill probably forget him forever.
I know its very random but have you guys ever thought of this sorta thing, especially in a community like this with people from all over the world.

Now that's pathetic.

Meet face to face?
I think this applies to many people on here. I have a few on my MSN who I talk to but I doubt I'll never get on their side of the world. I still get to talk to them and share ideas so its not bad. Imagine if they turn out to be mutated psycho-lunatic perverts in real life, at that point I'd have loved to have kelp the relationship strictly online.

I dont have e-friends but I think meeting someone you know from the net will be quite uncomfortable since your likely to be stuck for words and it could turn into a sticky situation if you suddenly find out he/she is not the person you saw on their display pic or when they sent you pictures, I mean seriously who talks about the NLSC to friends or in public convo's?
I think 99% of randoms/e-friends you meet online should be kept as that, unless you really connect and live closeby and course after maybe an year or two of knowing each other should you think about meeting up cause their are weird people out there.

I agree with Steve, I'm 99% sure I'm not going to ever meet these people, but its not like I want to either. They're good people to talk to or exchange a few laughs with, though.
Tue May 23, 2006 1:55 am
I think I'd only meet the people I know aren't completely insane or haven't had a sex change at some point in their lives, meaning people like Matthew, Jowe, Andrew etc... I've known those guys on here for years though, and even still I'm not rushing out to meet them

I agree with Stevesanity's 2nd paragraph, the last thing you want is an internet person invading your actual life in some way.

There might be 5 people I know through the internet I wouldn't mind meeting if I was ever in their area. But I wouldn't go out of my way, or rush out to meet them like Jae said. I'm also still a little younger than most of them...
And to say that they're my 'best friends' would be extreme overkill.

Like I said on msn before. You never know what will happen next so you don't really know I know its a looooong shot, but you never can tell what the future will bring you.So there is always a slim chance if you wont to take it.Like I said sometime ago I have some family in Australia and if I had a wish to meet Fitzy or someone else for that matter I would take it.But there is one condition I would need to know the person like something about his life you know the things what friends talk about.

Word.

Don't lie to them Jae, tell them about our night.
Tue May 23, 2006 7:22 am
sometimes people are totaly different on msn than they are in real life, for example, some new person added me on msn, so i started talking to him/her and i found them really annoying and blocked them, then the next day i found out it was one of my best friends that just made a new account... so my point is if you meet a person face to face that youve been talking to on msn for a long time, and they dont live up to your expectations, then you might have just ruined your friendship.... sorry im bad at explaining things sometimes...

I don't think I'm ever gonna meet any of this forum's members: Only a very small part of the members live in Europe and the only one I can think of that lives in Italy is chetto, but then again: He lives in Parma and I live in Milan, not that distant but we don't even know each other so there's no point.

If you want it to happen again you'll stay quiet

Jae wants to meet me. We live in the same state for all you jealous ones.

I don't see your name listed in my original post

I've always wondered this....
Say you're a good person, so you go to heaven, but your idea of heaven is much different than somebody else's idea of heaven. Since it's heaven, shouldnt it be a paradise for you? So, if lets say Elvis' heaven would a world that didnt include elton john, but elton john is a good person so he goes to heaven, how do they both coexist in heaven? Does everyone have a different heaven or is it a place thats just not quite real heaven? lol
Tue May 23, 2006 12:11 pm
Yeah anyway...
i've always wondered that too Fitzy.
I reckon it'd be cool to meet somone you talk to a lot from NLSC. You never know, you could get along really well with someone. I wonder sometimes what an NLSC meet would be like too. Lots of alcohol, people, and lubricant..
Tue May 23, 2006 12:25 pm
That's a weird though, but seeing as I don't use MSN, I'm not going to worry too much.
Tue May 23, 2006 12:46 pm
I mean seriously who talks about the NLSC to friends or in public convo's?
.....mazz & i mention it every so often.
Tue May 23, 2006 1:26 pm
id say if Pera did come out to australia for instance you would have to talk on the phone a bit too and get to know each other because i agree with what jae said up the top, you dont want these somewhat random people invading your actual life in some way.

That would be so... weird

It could be nice too, but there would be no going back to how it was after a thing like that.
Tue May 23, 2006 4:15 pm
hell no.
Tue May 23, 2006 4:25 pm
I'd consider meeting a number of you. Hell, I could probably list some that I would. Without hesitation.
Tue May 23, 2006 4:34 pm
Going out of my way to meet some fellow onliners? Iiiiii, I don't know about that - kind of a scary thing to think about. I guess there's a few members here that I wouldn't mind meeting but yeah, it doesn't really bother me that I'll probably never speak to any of you in person. It'd be interesting to meet the different NLSC personalities out in the real world but at the same time it'd be a risky thing to go out and do with all the foreigners around here - I might get shot at for being an American.
Party at my house!
