The most intense moment of your life

Postby Axel on Sun May 21, 2006 12:52 pm

What is yours?

I became inspired to write this thread not long ago.... my area was under a tornado warning (one was spotted less than 15 minutes from my house heading in my direction) and I got a bit panicked... esp since I am the only one home at the moment. :(

That was just one moment though, but the most intense in my life came when I was in second grade, 7 years old. I was outside, going into my dad's old toyota truck to get a calculator.. along comes my little brother, who hops into the drivers side of the car, while I'm pretty much hanging on the side of the truck climbing to get in. I remember being thrown off the truck when he pulled the clutch out of the truck, sending me flying out behind it... and then shortly after 'waddling' like a duck almost getting up from where it had ran over me (across the pelvis). My mom was screaming, running down our driveway ( i live in the mountains so its all hilly), she fell down, scraped her arm up pretty good, and then came and got me.

Our neighbor heard the screams and came up and took me to the hospital. I'd say I'm pretty lucky, in fact I'm amazed I didn't break any bones at all. Probably because it was spread out over a decent surface area (and the truck was pretty small). The truck rolled down the hill and hit a tree stopping my brother and it from rolling off the mountainside.

Ok, enough about my intense moment. Yours?

As Jing said its so many. Some are more life threatening and some are less threatening, but are still very intensed. A few of mine was having to make 3 straight FT's in middle school with 0.5 secs on the clock to win a game. Driving on the expressway and a man was actually in the far left lane and I don't know what the hell he was doing, but he trying to move over close to the side where you usually see people standing at and luckily I was able to swerve and miss him, but the car behind me ended up hitting him and I actually saw him fly up to the top of the streetlight and you could hear a loud thump. When I was 5 years old, I slipped over a playground slide and landing on my back and couldn't breathe for like 15 secs no matter how much I tried and I was thinking I was going to die, but I slowly start back breathing after the 10 secs and was taken to the hospital afterwards. That's just a few of many.

When I was playing basketball. I drove into the lane to shoot a lay-up and a kid clotheslined me and my head hit the hardwood. I was knocked out and had a slight concussion. It was real scary.

So does that account for your lack of "growth?" j/k

Anyway, I think one of mine was when I was playing football (American, not soccer) for the first time. I wasn't hydrated at all nor did I have any idea what it'd be like because I was only 10 or 11 years old and it was my first year. Anyway, the first practice I started feeling really light-headed, but I figured "Football players are supposed to be hard and tough!" so I didn't say anything. I finally nerved up enough to go to the coach and I said "I don't feel good." At that time my head was spinning and I saw flashes of white light. Then I collapsed and passed out. I though I was out for like 15 seconds but my mom and all the coaches ran over while I was out and they told me I was out for like 2 minutes. But I didn't think it was a "big" deal at the time, so let me try to think of another one.

The Jugs joke sounds kind of like "The Aristocrats"

And I have a very un-intense life. I've done some cool stuff, but nothing really sticks out as being really intense.

The most intense moment I've ever experienced was the day that I took a shower with the lights off - that is some scary stuff right there.

Two to speak of.

1st would be seeing my friend's couzin Jonezi get shot.

We were playing at a court which is located near a corner where theirs alot of clocking, we only went there cause the other courts were all full that day. So Jonezi got a brother that pushes dope so naturally he's always in the line of trouble and so we were just playing ball, about 5 of us and then two guys suddenly start jabbering and passing out comments from the bench and then I remember Jonezi saying something like "Yall better back the fuck up and leave us in peace" and something else after that, then one of them got off the bench after staring him down and walked towards him pulled out a piece and in just a split second bang bang. Two shots were fired at him and he practically died on the spot cause it took like 30 minutes before the medics came and one of them went straight into the heart and was declared as the lethal shot.

His brother was just cryin his heart out at the service and then a week later he was found dead in an alley with his throat slit. The parents are nowhere to be seen and those two brothers were real close in spite of everything and though the his brother was messin his life up Jonezi was a really bright kid and was a really good baller, he could have got full scholarship to any college in California.

Anyway the second would be when I was in a store and it got robbed by three guys. Wasnt anything big but I was real scared that my life was in danger if things didnt go well for those three and the store owner didnt comply. Luckily he gave them the money and they ran off only to be caught by the cops about 5 minutes later.

Nothing can compare to seeing Jonezi getting shot though, he didnt deserve to go so soon cause he had a real future ahead of him unlike his brother. I'm just glad the rest of us made it and we all didn't have lead shot at us that day. The sad part is the fuck that shot him was never caught nor his partner which really pains me and the cops dont really give a shit despite my friend's family always trying to push them to catch the parties responsible for it. Course now its been nearly 2 years since the shooting and it'll be impossible to find the guilty party, just a darn shame though that such a great person went so young.

Well I had some intense moments in my short life, but at the moment I can think of 3,note the last one happens on a daily basis.

First one is probably the one were I was in a car crash.I was only 7 and I was so badly injured that the doctors said I would never walk again, but 3 months later I stated walking again and I'm fine now and can do anything I want.

The second one is when I was injured and my coach forced me to shoot the winning free throws(I played only 5 minutes that game).I made both free throws and we one thanks to me.

The third scares the living shit out of me.Ok here's the story my brother is on a whellchair all his life.He is paralyzed (he can't walk,he is very weak). So every night he screams, because he is in fuckin' pain and the doctors can't do anything to relive his pain. This happens every day from november to now.I just fell like crying every time he screams.I just don't know what to do sometimes. :( .
