I don't know if anyone has read this, but I thought I'd just show some more information about the PS3.

most of these thing have been around already but weaker or in different format.
I'm not saying that ps3 isn't going to be good etc. , just don't absorb everything you read from the internet.

The PS3 is doing a world release in like november 2006 and GTA won't be a launch title.

At first I wanted an XBOX 360, but then I couldnt decide. But now I think I'll go with the the PS3, especially since I can use my PSP with it.

We're talking about the PS3 version of GTA. The only information given out by Rockstar is that they'll be releasing GTA games for the PS3, but the title has not been released.

It was just announced at E3 that this thing is gonna be $500 for the 20 gig ps3...and $600 for the 60 gig. I know there's gonna be alot bitching about the price...but to this end i have 3 words: get a job. The price is fair considering we'll be getting a console that will be in it's prime for atleast 5 years after it's launch. A top of the line pc video card alone is $500 bucks. Not to mention the upgrades to ram and processing power one would have to purchase.

Is that price american? Cause that'd mean it would cost over $650 here in AUS just for the 20g one.....which sucks arse!

That's not all.

As it turns out, a little examining of Sony's announcement press release reveals the $499 model will lack support for Memory Sticks, SD and Compact Flash cards, no built-in Wi-Fi and will surprisingly have the HDMI output removed (necessary for achieving the much bragged about 1080p screen resolution).

Unfortunately, some of the previously advertized specs have been cut out and as benji pointed out the 60 gb version holds distinct advantages over the 20 gb one.

600 Dollars can't be spent on a kick ass fucking vacation to the islands opposed to buying a console, hmm, difficult choice...for me.

yea and out of principal I ain't too tempted. +all games cost +60€ as well since there is no used games immediately
