This is it.
It’s over for me as I announce that it is time to leave the NLSC; for a while at least. With the impending commitments with Uni work, Soccer Coaching and Basketball I don’t think I will be able to spend much time on the forums. For me, NLSC is a great place. It sometimes feels like a third home, my second being the basketball court. When I am having a tough time, I will come online and visit the forums and let myself forget about my troubles. Read about my favourite team and player, post on the site, work on my dynasty.
But now that I’m older, I know I got to make choices. If there’s one thing that I’ve learnt, it would be that I have to make the most of life. So I got to make a start sometime.
University work has been creeping up on me for a while now. I was quite disappointed in my Economics. I was real confident I scored a high mark in my first test. I only got 8 out of 15. So I set my priorities straight and got my results back yesterday. I scored 14 out of 15. In Criminology, I basically crammed and scored a healthy 81%. For writing, I made some stupid errors but still scored 80% on my paper.
These aren’t the best marks and I know I’ve got to work harder. My aim is to stay above 75% in all of my courses after all. So in true geek fashion, I’ve got to make sacrifices! I’m confident if I free up more time for myself, it will be lots easier to juggle school, sport, work and hanging out with mates. So this is what I’ve chosen.
I also know that I’m one of those type of people who can’t just say, ‘ok, I’m going to pop on the Forums and have a short look around.’ It doesn’t work for me. Knowing me, I’d probably just stay online for ages reading posts and stuff. Just wasting my own time.
Not that I blame NLSC for my lack of time management skills. That’s just me.
In terms of my posting… maybe I wasn’t the best. Never was from the start to now but I hope I improved at least slightly over time. It would be great if you guys can tell me how I can improve my posting techniques. Let’s get this straight first though… Kobe Bryant will always be my favourite player and the Lakers; I will always support them through thick and thin!
Well, I guess that I got my point. It was great sticking around here and I wish all of you people ‘Good Luck for the future!’

Andrew: I commend you on a fine job keeping the forums running. I admire your commitment and dedication you put into your ‘side’ job… it is a great achievement! Something which I have no doubt you will look back on and say to yourself, ‘Wow, I learnt a lot more from this internet forum than I thought was possible…’ (Well, I think that might be the case!)
Jae: You do a good job as a moderator on the NLSC. Seeing your name pop up in the HOF section is a true justification to your ‘professionalism’ with your online job. Congratulations.
Jackal: You say you spam away all the time. And you say I spam all the time. Difference is that you say you spam relevant things and I don’t? Sorry if I’m wrong about that but I got to admit that I never really read your posts to me… Well, you’re a great character on the forums who flames a lot of n00bs like myself- have fun doing that then in the future.
Jing Xu: Asian and Ultimate Frisbee man! Haven’t talked to you in ages. Hope you do well in UMass and graduate and get a real job! Or come to Aussieland one day! Anyways, don’t go joining any Asian Triads mate! Make more of your dynasties… you seem to enjoy them! And have a good one!
Cyanide: Rap Wars was cool man. I still remember you killed me in that! I’ve noticed how you haven’t posted too much lately but it’s all good. I really do wish I could have got to known you a bit more. You seem like a good guy!
Riot: I salute you for your patriotism and your loyalty to the Minnesota Timberwovles. I really hope that KG will get some help next season and that you won’t need to walk out on them again!
Colin: I’ve seen you post more than in the last week than I have seen you post here in the NLSC for however long we’ve both been here. Guess we never crossed paths online but since you’re a Suns fan, it was awesome to see you post about your team during the last 2 weeks for the Play-offs! A sidenote: My cousin lives in Vancouver… yeah I know. Pretty random!
Jugs: If I came back in maybe 2 weeks, I wouldn’t be surprised if you had already equalled Andrew in posts count…

Matthew: I guess I should apologise for annoying you if I ever did. I don’t hold a grudge or hate someone I’ve never met in person before. So I can’t say that I hate you but I don’t really either. So all I have to say is congratulations on being nominated in the HOF. Good luck with being inducted.
The G.O.A.T: You’re a young one with a lot of time ahead of you. Don’t let the pitfalls of life get you down mate. I can tell you, I had my problems last year too. Sometimes, I did consider giving up altogether. But I told myself to be stronger because the other side is always greener. There’s a lot more to life than meets the eye.
Sam: Asian bro, good luck with the bball man! I hope you make it in a college. Even if it’s just Div 2 or 3 like Jing has told me about… but man, basketball is basketball. As long as you can play it, it will be all good!
Laxation: Hey mate! Thanks for dropping by my dynasty every now and then. I appreciated your comments in it! Good to see another Aussie on the Forums and one who plays with Andrew Bogut’s cousin! Next time you see this kid, ask him for some free shoes! (Wait, was it you who plays with that kid in the same comp?)
Thierry: Here’s to a Champions League upset over Barca. I know Arsenal can win against them! 11 straight clean sheets, a hat trick for Henry and the Champions League trophy for Arsenal! I sure hope Thierry Henry stays with Arsenal next season too…
