I finally hit 4000 posts. It took me like 3 & 1/2 years but I got here. It's been really fun so far. I have to write something now, because I don't want to be part of the Jae's "reply with the same effort as the guy who just posted"
It all started in 2000, I was 11 at the time when I got interested in basketball. It was really fun, I was better than most guys at my age here. But one day, I was walking in the mall, when I saw some guy holding a basketball. Also, there was Micheal Jordan next to him, so I inmediately thought this should be the greatest game of all-times. It was NBA Live 2000.
That was probably around June or July. My birthday was a couple months away so I only had to study hard to earn it. I got my first and only 1st place in school that year, so, one day after school, on November 8th, I remember my dad giving me a birthday gift. I ripped the papaer as fast as I could, and I had the game in my hands.
After thanking my parents, I went to the computer and installed everything. The intro scene made my jaw hit the ground, I've never seen anything so awesome in my life. After a couple of minutes, I was playing with my favourite team, the Sixers, against everybody. It took me a while to discover all the great things that game had.
After a couple of weeks playing it non-stop, I was kinda disappointed, because 2001 was near (and probably Live 01 was out, I had no idea), and some players weren't in the same team, or had elbow pads, like Iverson or Kobe. So, I tried searching for some "nba live 2000 patch", and, guess what? The first site that I found was the NLSC. It was this black site, that had different options in the side. I looked for the 2000 section, and downloaded some Roster patch (I can't remember if it was Andrew's, but it probably was). Great, it worked, the only thing I needed was updates for the players. There was a lot of sites back then, and I went crazy downloading stuff. I kept looking at the "Forums" button that was there, but I was kinda afraid of clicking it because I didn't knew what it was
After some time, I decided to click that. And I found heaven
I was reading what I could understand, because my english wasn't that good (well, it's not like it's any better right now). but I thought some guys and threads were hilarious. I think I only had like 15 posts in the B&B forums.
Then the forums changed to php, and my interest was growing. I signed up as soon as I could, but I still wasn't completely sure of posting, until some I saw some guy who was from Chile. That inspired me, I guess, because I started posting like I was Jugs or something
I was so fucking happy when I hit my first milestone, 100 posts
Then that chilean guy stopped posting, but I already felt good with my writing skills, and started to make useful posts (very rare) and participate in debates ( even more rare). I got to know some cool people, and some assholes, too. It's been awesome, and I thank all of you guys (and girls, if we haven't scared all of them).
So that's my story, my NLSC story. I'm 17 now, I turn 18 in a couple months. Live 2006 was fun for a couple moths, but I don't play it anymore. I conside myself as a vet, even though I'm a noob in many aspects. My girlfriend returns in 75 days, I finish school this year, so I have to get ready for the PSU (it's like the SAT here), and the NLSC just takes too much time

Jona left some time ago, because we all know he's smart. I'm kinda stoopee, so I sticked around a little longer, but now it's my time to retire, or semi-retire, at least (I learned that from Jackal). I really need to focus on my studies, and I won't have much time to dedicate to the forums
It sounds like I'm talking to a girlfriend, but I consider all of you like one. Specially Riot, who got to know true love with me I still will be checking in the weekends and probably in July, when I have a 2-week vacation. I looking forward to get the "Comeback of the Year" in 2006
