How can I make it so my Microsoft Word lets me type in columns like a magazine?

i dont know how to specifically make the format like that, but i know how to atleast make the columns. you select the column tool (it looks like literally two columns of mini lines, looks like this:

___ ___
___ ___
___ ___
___ ___

after you select that tool, it will then give you an option of the number of columns you want to split the page into. if you want to change the width of the column, look above the page your typing on, theres a ruler on top. you adjust one of the two arrows on the ruler depending on which side you want to make it wider or thinner. maybe someone can take a screencap of word and use photoshop to draw an arrow to the arrows and triangles to give you a better idea.
