One Hit Wonder Thread

Ok, everyday I'm gonna give everyone a title of a song that was a one hit wonder and can you all tell me what you think of it!

First Song: "Can't Touch This" - MC Hammer

My Synopsis: What can I say? I love this one hit wonder, it's pretty cool. I still always listen to it and everytime I do, it still sounds cool! (Y) Real catchy beat!

What you guys think?

You obviously are too young to remember, but MC Hammer isn't a one hit wonder. He has another hit, it's titled 2 Legit 2 Quit. He has 2 hit songs, that's about it.

Vanilla Ice isn't a one-hit wonder, he's just a washed-up rapper.
He has that other song that was used as a soundtrack for the sequel to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
cyanide wrote:Tweet - Oops (Oh My)

That also comes to mind. I read that she concentrated more on being a dancer. I think you can spot her on some of Missy's music videos.
Fitzy wrote:mumbo number 5 by lou whats-his-face

Lou Bega. I hate his sound, good thing he's a one-hit wonder.

from VH1's list:

1. Los Del Rio - "Macarena" (1996)
2. Soft Cell - "Tainted Love" (1982)
3. Dexys Midnight Runners - "Come On Eileen" (1982)
4. Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy" (1991)
5. Toni Basil - "Mickey" (1982)
6. Baha Men - "Who Let the Dogs Out?" (2000)
7. Vanilla Ice - "Ice Ice Baby" (1990)
8. a-ha - "Take On Me" (1985)
9. Gerardo - "Rico Suave" (1991)
10. Nena - "99 Luftballons" (1984)

Tainted Love and 99 Red Ballons have become some of the best cover songs nowadays though (Y)

First song that came to my mind was "My sharona" by "The knack"

I probably spelled both titles wrong, but whatever. I don't know of any other songs ever done by the knack. I didn't even know the band name of the ever-popular song until years after i first heard it.
