Commonwealth Games Watch

Meh, this is mainly to show you other guys how much Australia dominates. The opening ceremony is tonight and I heard that tomorow, there'll be like 6-7 chances for the Australians to win gold medals, in swimming and weightlifting.

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!

I care about 3 gold medals....

I want New Zealand to beat Australia to win gold in the men's basketball
I want the New Zealand Sevens Rugby Union Team to win gold for the 3rd straight time :P
I want to see Hamish Carter & that other guy do what they did in Athens, go 1-2 in the Men's Triathlon :P

apart from that, you can have your 80 golds, 70 silvers & 60 bronzes

I'm only rooting for the Aussies because Croatia isn't apart of the Commonwealth

The New Zealand team play their round robin games down in Geelong, I'll have to see if there are any tickets left.

If you guys hear of any basketball games being broadcast make sure to post it in here. The Aussie medal tally will be down this year because of Ian Thorpe being a big poofter and pulling out.

ahh Jugs, you'll get to see big Pero in action :P

don't know how we will fare as I don't know who will be on the roster....players like Kirk Penney are with top teams in Europe so I can't see them getting released to play in the tourney....without Sean Marks in middle, we suck there....ahh well, let's see how far Pero can take us :P I'll be happy with any colour medal :P

Grant Hackett is out with injury.

Who was watching Rove last night and they had the news reporter and she was like "There's an ant who has been swimming at world record speeds, they've asked Craig Stevens to step down from the team" Made me laugh.

But it would be cool to see Craig Stevens win a Gold, I'd give him support to burn Ian Thorpe's leg.

EDIT: X, hell yeah, Pero Cameron :headbang: but i really wanted to see Sean Marks

yeah, I really feel for Craig Stevens, I think he will win a gold & it will be one of those feel good stories of the Games....I can't believe the bastards dumped him at first, especially after he gifted Australia a gold at Athens by giving up his spot....

EDIT: Marks is retired from international bball anyways, although I think the Kiwi coach Tab Baldwin is gonna try & change his mind so he can play at the Worlds one last time  would be great if Spurs let him play, it's not like they're using him at the moment

There's 2 basketball games being aired on Foxtel at 5pm, but you have to pay for the "extensive commonwealth games coverage"

Day 1 has finished and Australia are leading the medal tally with 3 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze.

Scotland are second with 2 gold and I think 1 bronze.

I think there's some games played in Geelong, so if you see a court that says the Arena on it somewhere or something, that's Geelong :headbang:
