Do Sidekicks work in Australia?

Ive been wondering about this for a while, and cant find anything answering my question anywhere. So what better place to ask than here!

Does anyone know if Sidekick phones work in Aus?

Lol @ wanting a Sidekick because of The OC.

I imagine they would work... I brought my English phone over here and it works fine with a new sim in it.

Yeah, SIMs are the only one needed so that phones would be compatible.

Not only that, but you need a compatible GMS network that support data-transfer and a wireless internet connection. Without data-transfer, its pretty much useless to have a Sidekick.

No, its actually coz The Game has this maddd one in his DVD. Plus I like how the screen swivels out...

So is that a yes that the sim card would work?

Not becoz the game HAS one, but becoz he had a really cool looking one, black cover with blue lights...thats why, like say if Paris Hilton had one with the same color, I would have said "Coz Paris has this madd one"....you know?
