What's the best holiday you've been on?

For me the greatest holiday i had was late last year in our school holidays, a couple of friends and i went over and stayed at my brother's house on the Gold Coast.

If anyone here has been to Gold Coast, you'll know how fun it is, never ever bored. Always something to do and awesome weather, all day every day.
If you have never been there, trust me its worth however much it will cost from where ever your from.
Even a 3 day drive was worth it..even though everytime someone yelled 'Boobs!' we had to stop. Great chicks, awesome weather and beaches and thing that made it the most worth while was family and friends. Definitely, when im older ill move there.

Favourite holiday?

For me, it's also the Gold Coast, February of last year. Six days of the beach, theme parks and drinking with my closest friends with one night at Byron Bay on the way up. I was refused service at Jupiters, but fortunately the responsible service of alcohol laws don't account for unindentified friends going to the bar on the other side of the floor and buying a round. Also got to spend a couple of days in Brisbane where I caught up with my brother.

Fantastic trip.

I went to Italy with my family in grade 5 (i was 10) and that was pretty dam awesome, but at the end of this year i'll be going to schoolies, so whatever parts of that i remeber, will be the best holiday ever!

Schoolies is a good trip as well. Another one of my favourites.

Cant wait till schoolies..that will be awesome.

my best holiday would be when I went to England for a week and then to Croatia for 2 months when i was like 6. It was so good. But i can't remember it much.

I've been on holidays to Adelaide (twas alright) and Gold coast (twas good)

My best 2 holidays were the last 2 i had during the last few months. One was schoolies and another was a 2 week thing at a beach in VIC. Too tired to bother elaborating on them both right now, and i doubt anyone cares too Besides, you could probably guess predict everything anyway.

I also had my first drinking experience last year, the freedom you get when parenta arent there

Is schoolies some kind of Australian word?

Yeah. At the end of the high school, everyone around Australia get drunk and fucks like rabbits in a certain week (or 2). The traditional place to go is the Gold Coast, but you can go anywhere really.

It's a similar thing to something called "spring break" in USA i think... although i'm not sure what the occasion is for that.

It's also worth mentioning there are some people a few years older (usually still in uni) who infiltrate schoolies to party with the newly high school graduates. I'm not sure if it's an Australia-wide term but around these parts they're referred to as toolies.

Spring Break is the week we have off in April and all the young 17-18-19-20-21 year olds go to places like Cancun or Miami and stuff like that . This year I'm going to Dominican Republic for spring break . Next year I'll be 18 and I'm going to Virginia with some friends (maybe).
