Inspired by Null (nba/nlsc crossover)

Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:23 pm

OKay, I have ripped off his idea for a nlsc crossover with NBA players, but thats ok becuase i started this originally with the simpsons/nlsc crossover :)

Andrew: David Stern
Both are in control, both are the best commish/admins for the nba/nlsc in their histories. This makes perfect sense.

Jae: Shaq
Both are big, and overated . Nah seriously, Shaq isnt overated :proud:. This comparison is pretty much on humour now, becuase Jae is probably the best poster here at nlsc, and shaq isnt even a top 5 player anymore

Jackal: Kevin Garnett
Oh riots gonna love this (not that it matters ). Both have amassed some significant numbers, but whats that without respect (like a playoff run). Jackal had that run when he was mod, but has since fallen into a slump after that.

Air Gordon: Kobe Bryant
Oh the irony. Mr Adulterer meets Nick. The comparison is how he's viewed. Alot of people "forgot" about kobe last season, despite him being the best in basketball. The same goes for Air Gordon, he's the most knowledgable NBA poster here yet most scrubs here dont even know his name.

Null: Dirk Nowitzki
This was a hard one to pick, but i feel Null is among the better posters here despite being from the Fillipines (haha, is that right now ), the same way dirk is amongst the nba elite despite being from europe.

Sit: Kwame Brown
The perfect analogy. Both are crybabies, whingers and just losers :)

Dweaver: Vernon Maxwell
For the amount of shots Maxwell used to jack up, he wasn't a good scorer. When you look at the amount of posts Dweaver does, he just isnt a good poster.

Riot: Shawn Marion
Marion is a decent player by himself, but when around others that can help him, he becomes a great player. Same with Riot, who often is alone (when im not helping his george bush/america rants), but when he has help he is pretty good

Jowe/ Nick: Stockton /malone
No, jowe isnt stock and nick isnt malone. They are just inseperable, when you think of one, you think of the other. Probably the best duo in nlsc history.. except for:

Tim/Lutz: Jordan/Pippen
Goes without saying

Indy: Tmac
Indy cant see any fault with the pacers, the same way Tmac is (or used to) dillusioned by his own view of himself.

Jeffx: Bill Russell
The old vet, one who is simply one of the best to ever be a part of nlsc. Never made alot of posts, but he has been invaluable to the community.

Drespn: Kareem
Pissed alot of people off, but alot of people who recognise basketball greatness realise how good kareem was. The same goes for Drespn. A legend here and will be a first ballot hall of famer ( :shifty:)

I cant think of anymore off hand.

I love these threads

Unbelievably accurate

Matthew: Gary Payton

Good for the trash talk Hall of Fame. Or the retirement home, in case he retires. Again.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:47 pm

When was the last time Gary Payton retired?

Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:48 pm

The 'again' part just might be referring to Matthew.

I've retired the same amount of times on this forum as you have. The only difference was I was wanted back.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 8:50 pm

Depends on who's asked.

The answer to that is everyone. Which the answer would still be noone asked.

We agree on that.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 9:33 pm

Thanks Matt for the Kwame Brown comparision! :) Its an honour to have my name beside his!

Sat Mar 04, 2006 9:38 pm

The thing is, like Kwame, you do have potential to do some good here..

Sat Mar 04, 2006 9:41 pm

Well... I'm losing hope for the guy... His real problem is getting his priorities straight and also... getting his mind on the right track and to stop being lazy.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 9:58 pm

Oh DO ME DO ME!! For anyone that knows who i am :( Please do not involve the words Spam, Gay, Fuck.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:02 pm

ok

Peachy/ Channing Frye

Both are rookies who arent shy about letting the world know who they are and who's toes they step on. Also given your limited amount of posts, you have contributed well, the same way Frye has in a limited amount of minutes.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:11 pm

Congrats. I think you and Jae are perfect co-mods to Andrew.

And now do my report. Pretty pretty please.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:12 pm

Yay! Shit i play for the knicks... :? Do Jerome James & Eddy Curry so i can know who im behind!

Vank = Tom Cruise

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:16 pm

After your Kobe comments my NBA comparison to you would be Chris Anderson

- On crack.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:16 pm

Peachy, you've been downgraded to Malik Rose

Vank/ Toni Kukoc (younger version)
An unexpected poster with good arguements. The comparison comes from the 95/96 kukoc, when he would come off the bench and light up teams. other teams would have no answer for him as he wasnt expected to be that good... and for some reason i get the feeling people dont expect your arguments to be that good on here, but they are.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:22 pm

Thanks, man :). I'm one of my favourite players AND I'm playing with MJ.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:33 pm

Malik Rose, Channing Frye..whats the difference, eh? Both bench scrubs with potential and both with weird names. :x Ill take what i can get.

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:37 pm

Malik has more rings!

Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:37 pm

Malik Rose has 'potential'?
