A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."
The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.
In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:07 am
He wrote "Your exact weight". These are easy as possible.
Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:23 am
Heres one-
What body part would Adam and Eve NOT have that ALL persons after them would have?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:30 am
A navel, most likely.
Now, a bit more logic:
A boy leaves in the morning to go to school. At the moment he leaves the house he looks at the clock in the mirror. The clock has no number indication and for this reason the boy makes a mistake in interpreting the time (mirror-image). The boy cycles to school, where he arrives after twenty minutes. At that moment the clock at school shows a time that is two and a half hours later than the time that the boy saw on the clock at home.
At what time did he reach school?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:41 am
11:45?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 7:44 am
nope. Work th eproblem backwards, it's easier to figure out.
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:03 am
5:05
EDIT: My bad, it's 7:55. The two times are 5:05 and 7:55.
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:05 am
6:39?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:21 am
My bad, it's 7:55. The two times are 5:05 and 7:55.
Nope, but close.
Hint: The boy arrives at school 20 minutes after he left his home. The clock at school is 2,5 hours ahead of teh time he thought he saw when leaving his house. When he left the house, what was the time on the school's clock? (the real time) . Knowing what th eactuall difference between the real and the perceived time is, you can find only one pair of mirror image times that matches.
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:26 am
The clock at school shows it's 2 and a half hours later. He cycled for 20 minutes.
2 Hours = 120 Minutes.
Half an hour = 30 Minutes.
120 + 30 = 150 Minutes.
150 - 20 minutes of cycling = 130 minutes.
130 minutes = 2 hours & ten minutes.
The time he arrived at school was 7:05 + 20 = 7:25.
Here:
That's what he saw at home.
You never said I couldn't use my clock, as you said, it doesn't have number indication.
Edit: In case people wonder how I got the 20, it's for the cycling.
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:33 am
We have a winner!!!
Are you going to post a riddle or should I post another one?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:35 am
I can't re-tell the riddles I've heard, I always screw them up and give away the answer, I usually focus more on remembering the answer after I've heard the riddle, that I forget the whole riddle.
In other words, post away.

Okay, here goes:
An old farmer died and left 17 cows to his three sons. In his will, the farmer stated that his oldest son should get 1/2, his middle son should get 1/3, and his youngest son should get 1/9 of all the cows. The sons, who did not want to end up with half cows, sat for days trying to figure out how many cows each of them should get.
One day, a friend came by to see how they were doing after their father's death. The three sons told him their problem. After thinking for a while, the neighbour said: "I'll be right back!" He went away, and when he came back, the three sons could divide the cows according to their father's will, and in such a way that each of them got a whole number of cows.
What was the neighbour's solution?
Sun Feb 12, 2006 9:05 am
He went away and brought another cow with him sothat there were 18 cows?
