Mafia Supposedly on ESPN Saturday January 28, 2006

Well we found out about two weeks ago that our game on January 28th will be featured on ESPNU. It's going to feature two games with all four teams being Tennessee teams and two teams being from Memphis.

2006 Old Spice Red Zone Showcase presented by Nike: Ridgeway (TN) vs. Brentwood (TN) > 9:00pm (MY GAME)

Look for no.22 from Ridgeway, we might wear the bright orange uni's maybe and more than likely I'm going to be coming off the bench as a 6 or 7th man. Our coach gave us like a sheet that had random questions on there and stuff like asking us our favorite food, name and things like that kind of like how they do in the Little League World Series I used a new name for bball reference this year because my teammates say I don't look like a Desmond, I look like a Jason, so they turned me into a Jason Jones with my initals being DJJJ. So if I happen to do something good in the game, you'll hear that name since thats the name I put on the paper. And hopefully if I get a wide open fastbreak, I'm going to throw it down for the NLSC community because thats the only way I can really dunk it if I can get a good runing start now since I've grown. I've grown a little bit so I'm about 6'0" or 6"1 so just loo kinda tall dark skinned black guy. Any jumpshot I hit, or if I get a layup or dunk will go to ya'll. Hell, if I have a big enough game and if we win and I get interviewed (which may not happen) I'll give NLSC a shoutout. Just watch the game if you can.

I've been trying to find ESPNU too, I just thought it was another name for HS games on ESPN. I'm going to be trying to look for it because I'm going to be leaving on Friday, but I'm going to have my brothers' laptop with me so I can still post.

Plus, I know Mafia really is on the Ridgeway squad, but I guess he's just never coming off the bench so he tells everyone he's actually the 6th man.

Because that's the name I've been using all this year for when I put my name is on boxscores in the newspaper and the same one I used for when we went to the Myrtle Beach Classic and it was scouts there. So, it wasn't really like I was getting recognized my previous year on the team since I really never played, but hopefully this will be the year I'll start getting recognized since I've already had some good games and started a couple of games.
