Tennis 2007 or 2008??

OK so the Aussie Open is on and I'm not sure how many of us are watching it but I bet those who are just wish that there was a game out therethat had everything in it, tennis based anyway.

Imagine this...

Your Nike or Reebok or Prince or Wilson or any other Tennis brand you can think of and you can go and sign any players you want, you have to offer them contracts, and bonuses and free things for them to sign with you. Then once you have signed them you get them playing in tourneys all over the world trying to make money for your company. Try get them to peak at Grand Slams. Include all tourneys with all courts and everything. Have all the top players, not the random people that don't exist like on Top Spin and things like that. Include the US Open, Roland Garros, Australian Open and most importantly Wimbledon. Make your players peak at the right times and give them breaks when they are getting fatigued. Include injuries and things. Have morale and happiness with your management of them. This is just one style of play that could be included.

Include maybe historical players that can be played in exhibtions and maybe even make the locked o that by competing certain tasks who can unlock certain players. For example, if a certain player calls a Grand Slam home, maybe Pete Sampras with the US Open (I am not sure how many of these he won) then by winning that 3 times you unlock him or something. Make thegame challenging and fun.

Another is creating a superstar or just selecting one and taking them through a career. Federer, Hewitt, Nalbandian, Roddick, Davydenko, Sharapova, Davenport, Henin-Hardenne, Hingis, Clijsters, include all of them. It would be so good and I am sure that this would be one of the best games EA Sports could make. I don't expect them to get this game out for 2007 or 2008 as it could take time working on this but I am very positive about this game getting awesome ratingsif EA could make this because there is so many people who would enjoy just picking up a control or key board and having a hit out against the worlds best.

So if you think that this game could work post in this thread and I will see what I can do about getting it looked at. We would need a lot of people posting though so c'mon everyone lets get a long over due tennis game out.

Cheers.

yes of course. We get to be both really. You can be a player and accept or decline offers from the pc manager or be the manager. You can do anything.

I like the idea. I'd buy a tennis game like that, no doubt.
I think it needs to focus more on the playing side of it, rather than the sponsor side tho, but I like the it..

The management aspect of the game is what interests me the most. There is only so many times I can actually sit and play the matches myself before I get bored, thats probably why I stopped playing FIFA 06 and opted for FIFA Manager (Which I would recommend if you like the genre).

I totally agree. can only play a game for so long. I mean of course we need to focus on the playing a bit more but have both sides to the game because this can be played when u r sick of playing games. You can go and manage. It would be so fun.
