If you had to pick to either go to the army or the navy which would you pick?

I would probably pick the Army because I get seasick lol. Also guns are fun to use

Wonder what Riot will say

Ah, thinking about joining the armed forces? Great choice.

Now, it depends what kind of job you want to do. I suggest to go to this website and read up on some things. Or you can simply go to www.goarmy.com or www.navy.com.

The Army is probably the richest military branch and offers superior facilities than any other branch (Marines, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard). The Army basically lets you select your job and makes sure you qualify before you are committed. I'm not so sure the Navy does that.

However, my choice for what military branch I am joining is between the Army and Air Force. Those two are the best branches if you want to get a career outside of the military are you are done serving. The Air Force has it's own community college that you can take while you are serving. So you can work to get your degree while you are serving, and it is free. The other branches offer to pay for your college as well up to a certain amount, but I don't think any of them can offer you what the Air Force can.

Overall, it depends on your perference for what job you want. If you want to be an infantry man you should join the Army or the Marines. If you want to work on ships or something the Navy offers then take the Navy. Don't do a job you don't want to do. You will regret it and you can't get out of it. If you want help about deciding what branch offers what then contact me on AIM (Randy 84 Ratio) or PM me. I think all the branches are great and teach great character. You can't really go wrong with either.

Man, that boy was bagged and tagged the minute they cut his orders to this place. They should've just shot him at home.

What is so funny about that? Do you know anything about the armed forces of America? If you don't, shut your fucking trap.

Navy because the Naval Academy in Annapolis is 40 to 45 minutes away from my house.

In fact I was once recruited by Navy in my high school days in late 2003. It was weird...I got a phone call from the recruiter at night and then went to a meeting and took some test but in the end even though I passed all the tests my parents did not want me to go to the navy so I ended up as a civilian. :|

Just because you join the armed forces doesn't mean you'll see combat. In fact, most people don't.

I'd choose National Guard if I had to choose anything at all... since I'd rather stay in the US.

Thank god for that... Even if some people claim that without war there wouldn't be peace, I remain with the opinion that war is absolutely unneccessary.

The question is, what do the armed forces of America truly know about what is going on and who they are fighting for?

War is useless, yet is a necessary evil. And that is clear as it could ever get.

They have the ability to get the same information you and I are capable of getting. They can watch the news or go on the internet. They can go out on the town and hear the latest rumors. It's not like the government locks them up and hides them from reality.

War, for the most part, is useless. However, there are some wars that are worth fighting. There are some wars that need to be fought.

The get double the amount of information from the brass. That's the difference.

They get a lot of information, but it's not like President Bush invites them into the Oval Office every weekend to give them a briefing. Most of the top information is kept secret.

I know this is a shot at the War in Iraq, so I'll let you have the last word with that.

Then I must have missed it because it seemed to me that you meant people in the armed forces get secret information.

No. The 'secret' information is reserved for the decision makers.

then whats the point. If i was in the armed forces i would expect to fight. with the way bush is commanding we will probably go to war with every middle east country and many innocent people will die. War is mans worst invention.
