Australian Open 2006 Tennis

Postby Jugs on Sun Jan 15, 2006 5:57 am

Well the Aus Open starts tomorow. There have been quite a few players pulling out of the tournament due to injuries (N)

According to the newspaper's betting, Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic is FIFTH!!!! favourite to win it. But Federe is at like $1.50 to win it and Ljubicic is at $16 but still, Croatia is on the rise..... I'm getting hyped up too early...

Uh, anyways, I was just wondering if any Melbournians are going? I'm going on the Sunday  . Hopefully I'll catch some Croatians playing and then you guys can see me on TV as the idiot streaking the court with nothing but a Croatian Flag on

James Blake is a pretty darn god player. I remember first watching him play tennis in college and thinking "Damn, this guy is pretty good." Dont really see him winning this one though. :)

There have been quite a few upsets and two Croatians are in the 3rd round, hopefully they'll win ttheir matches and i'll get to see them on Sunday in the 4th round.

The main newspaper articles are about Serena Williams' weight problems. I don't know why they are giving her some shit. Beats me.

There were some good cartoon drawings about Serena. One of them was Serena standing infront of a ballboy and she's saying, "Where did that ball boy go?" and her big-ness is covering him :?

She was from Serbia

EDIT: LMFAO!!! Domir Dokic is at it again. He claimed the draw to be cheated cos Jelena lost and he threatened to kidnap Jelena and drop bombs on Australia.

That guy is fucked up. He did that 3 years ago when Dokic lost in the 1st round.

Here's the article for it

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=71679

This guy is full of shit. I saw on Today Tonight that they'll refuse entry for him into Australia and he's still an Australian Citizen.

Quote of the day

domir wrote:"I'm not crazy when I say this, they are the crazy ones who give you hot sausages before the match when it's 40 degrees celsius outside."

Jelena Dokic described her estranged father's latest tirade as "an unfortunate distraction", distancing herself from his threats to kidnap the 22-year-old and to kill an Australian in revenge for her loss in a tennis match this week.

 this guy's fucking insane. His daughter is hot however. At least body-wise.

Yeah I wouldnt mind meeting her :proud:. AS for her fathers quotes, I'd have to hear them to believe them. Just becuase the media prints them doesnt mean they are true. I wouldnt trust the media as far as i could kick them in this country.

How so? Do you know him personally? The way someone competes should never be confused with how someone is away from their sporting arena...

She's pretty ugly. He's a bit of a perve though, I don't know what he has with teen celebrities. First Mandy Moore, now Sharapova.

We have 2 Australians through to the 3rd round (Y)

You honestly think that's attractive? She looks like a tanned guy. The face is rodent-like, she has no tits.
