on the one on the left do Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur
and set it to 3

then go to Edit>Fade Gausian Blur and go through every thing and try em out

I've tried everything. I think I'm going to have to make my background lighter even though I really like it as it is.

If the pic of Wade in the red jersey was originally a little bigger, try this:

Use the bigger version, move it to the right; add some text beside his head; flip his head so it faces the other way and set it to multiply or something like that. It should look better than it does right now.

I redid it, I dont think the red and black would have worked no matter how many color options I used.

How did you make the background red? Did you brush red or do you have a colour overlay on top of the brushes? You could put the pic of his head under a red overlay to make it red.

It was brushed.

well i have a sig if you want it

Sat Jan 07, 2006 4:10 pm

You didn't have to make me a sig.... lol. I am probably gonna stay here till I get it exactly like I want it.

I totally redid the background, cut out new pics and got this...

It obviously is lacking something. There is a section above Wade (the pic on the left) where the background shows through. I want to make that section alone a different color, but I haven't figured out how to do that.... anyone know how?

Sat Jan 07, 2006 4:41 pm

pretty nice
though a lil empty between wade's face and teh ball

Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:00 pm

yeah.... i really like the pic on the left, but i dunno how to fill that space up...

Just lasso the section you want the color to be and make a new Color Balance (Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance.)

select the part u want to fade, feather... i think thats right :? :D

Sun Jan 08, 2006 9:07 am

Okay, this one took awhile to do... but I'm really happy with the outcome.... let me know what you think!

Also, i am going to change the title of this thread, so it is a place where i can post all my work and get comments/advice since I am still fairly new and dont want to make a new thread for each sig I do.... It's not a request thread or anything, because I dont have the time to make other people signatures (because i take way too long).

I love that sig, the only thing I don't love about it, is the Color of the D-Wade on the left, I dunno, I just don't like that shade of blue :?.

Added a border to it.

Look like that theres too much blue int the sig. I see that your trying something different but make the colors balance. Maybe make a part of the left pic of Wade a different color. Thats just my advise but good luck on your next sigs and keep up the good work.

Sun Jan 08, 2006 5:11 pm

How about this? I think i might like it better.

Good Job! Looks much better.

The colours don't work at all, especially that green-brown hybrid in the middle.

Mon Jan 09, 2006 5:46 am

I like it personally. Nice.

Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:36 am

ALso I dont really like the pic on the right its to plain. :|

Where is the green at? I used a tan color and set it to overlay.

Mon Jan 09, 2006 7:59 am

its not bad but the 1st version that you did with a little tweaking could be better! IMO

here is what you could have done!

-Make the color a darker red like burgundy...
-Make a fill effect like dots of some sort...
-Take wades face on the side off of lumnosity or desaturate and switch it to normal and copy the pic and blend them together and brush over it....
-Add a jagged text... and then set it to overlay and then you got a pretty good sig!
