Media Player Problem

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Yeah, that happens if you don't have the appropriate video codecs. Then you'll receive sound but not video.

Just downloand VLC Media Player, it's got all codecs you could possibly wish for. Plus it's easy to use, just doesn't look as "pretty" as WMP.

There, choose a mirror to download it from, install it & play your video/movie. Enjoys.

I've also found Real Player can be more reliable, especially when it comes to downloading codecs and plug-ins, though I still mostly use WMP.

I used to use Real Player for awhile, then I found VLC and just stuck with that. Here's the order in which I use the programs:

WMP
VLC
DivX

I find that just simply downloading the DivX codecs solves most playback problems.

Off topic, is it just me, or are there several people with alterned names of CB4?

Thing is, you don't always know which ones you need & sometimes WMP just fucks it all up.

Thirdly, WMP can't play disc image files, VLC can.

Regarding the CB4's, yeah, it's like the Kobe Fans. :shake:
