Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

For those of us that love this nifty little group, this is amazing news.

And last, Mario in Croatia writes that "Tool's booking agents have contacted all the biggest european promotors / festivals, and a tour is being booked for summer 2006." If this is the case, coupled with ongoing recording sessions, it means we should expect a Tool record before then.

this has been known for some time now, but either way it's great news for all tool fans...
they've been recording for the last 6 or so months... if not more... i think they entered the studio as soon as Maynard finished his duties with APC at the end of last year...

Really? I didn't visit his blog all summer, now was the first time to look at it.
I was dancing.
Look what not paying attention gives you.

there's some more info on recording of the album on their webpage...

9/13- Never Forget >>> TOOL recording again
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:21 pm
Oh piss off. "2Pac's death is more important then 9/11" = locked.
At least no one in this thread is disrespecting hundreds of dead people.
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:23 pm
funny thing about the other thread was that I originally thought people were talking about Biggie until Null mentioned Tupac

You could have deleted that one post, rather then locking the thread
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:28 pm
Why? It was a spam thread anyway. One person died 9 years ago, get over it and post it in the rap thread.

One band is going to record a new album ? Who cares, post it in the rock thread.
It's not like its some unknown person anyway damn, were talking about a household name and a person that most people respect. And is arguably the best rapper ever.
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:34 pm
the title of the tupac thread was "9/13 - Never Forget"....
the title of the Twin Towers thread was "9/11 - Never Forget"....
seems like there was some intention to link the events, just by the thread title alone....
and you're right, this Tool info probably should be in the dead Rock thread....
ahh well....
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:34 pm
Who cares? It was 9 years ago... if someone was making a thread every year to commemorate Cliff Burton's death I'd do the same thing. Unlike the rock thread, the rap thread is active and fully visible to everyone on the forum.
TOOL recording a new album is NEW NEWS... 2Pac's death isn't. Sure if it happened this year or last year no problem, but 9 years...

Exactly.

Who the hell is Cliff Burton ?
Anyone I see your point, still think you shoulda deleted that one post and kept the thread open though.
I'm off for the night tho.
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:38 pm
Who the hell is Cliff Burton ?
I saw that one coming
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:39 pm
Cliff Burton = dead Metallica bass guitarist....they've been through a few bass guitarists since him....
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:56 pm

In da ghetto household's you mean? Where the struggle is at?
Really, it isn't a household name. Hoover is.
Tue Sep 13, 2005 11:56 pm
Cliff if anyone deserves a commemorative thread. Well... him and Dimebag.
Fuck rap and the silly men toying around with it.

At least no one in this thread is disrespecting hundreds of dead people.
i wasn't disrespecting dead people, my point was that Pacs death had more of an effect on me. I'm sure if your mum or dad died you'd see that as a bigger event in your life than 9/11, as tragic as it was.
Now i'm not saying Pac was a relative but i've been listening to his music for years, watching his movies, reading his poetry etc he was more than just a name & rapper....
In da ghetto household's you mean? Where the struggle is at?
another empty stab at rap.......

I still wouldn't post about it, or make a thread about it for that matter.
