2 question on Automotive Alarm Systems

Postby beau_boy04 on Sat Sep 10, 2005 1:49 pm

Question 1:

Do you have a car alarm system?

If no, aren't you worried of your car getting stolen?

If yes, which one do you have? Clifford? Viper? CrimeStopper? etc etc

Question 2:

Who's the best and most reliable manufacturer in car alarms? I have narrawed down my choices to 3 - Clifford, Viper and CrimeStopper. Which one should I choose? Clifford.com documentation tells their system only work with automatic transmission vehicles :( I have a manual transmission car and I wanted to get Clifford

This is where the essential life skill 'inference' comes in.
in·fer·ence Pronunciation Key (nfr-ns) n.

1.
a. The act or process of deriving logical conclusions from premises known or assumed to be true.
b. The act of reasoning from factual knowledge or evidence.

Judging by the sample answers and the following question related to it, I am going to say question one is "Do you have a car alarm?"

BTW, I forgot to throw in that I don't have a car and have no opinion on the matter. CrimeStopper sounds effective, go for that. :D

I have a Compustar 2W8000FMR , 2 way alarm.. 3000 feet in range.. was the best on the market when i got it.. but I'm sure there's better now..
Preparation will only take you so far. After that you've got to take a few leaps of faith.

I go alarmless but I did hear someone break into my truck about two weeks ago. He broke my driver side window but he did it when our front door was wide open and when my brother yelled the guy ran away.

I get pretty worried that my truck might get broken into while I'm at work or in some other parking lot but I have nothing in there besides a pack of gum and a radio and some maps. It's not like it'd be a jackpot hotspot for car thefts.

I don't know why anyone would steal my truck, either. The best alarm is a shitty car.
