Well what bands do you guys dig?
There are a lot of bands that pass along history that are worth mentioning. But lets talk about those that are still intact shall we? What bands [3 to be exact] are pleasing yer ears lately? Fill me in
NUMERO UNO:

GREENday!!!==== after the recent MTV music awards and the soon to be more serious awards Greenday has finally been taken notice by the critics. I heard this band way back in 91. And in 1993 by the release of their first ever-worldwide album, I just have to be a greenday guy. They have been bleeding my ears and many folks who dare be with me for more than a decade. They are my heroes. Although recently their sounds were not as punk before[ who cares they are aging fast BS] they still rock my music world
Fav greenday line= I’m a loser and a user so I don’t need no accuser, to try and drag me down because you know you’re right!
NUMERO DOS

WEEzer======= who says Geeks cant rock n roll? Idiots. This band got some rock in them. I first heard them around 95 or 94 and I instantly feel the shit rivers coumo is trying to imply. We geeks rule!!!! Word!. Every kid back at highschool who thought my fav band WEEZER is geek gets a good beating from my homies. Anyways with hits like “buddy holly” and “island in the sun” this guys are sure hit mongers. Then they release PINKERTON!!! Holy Jaesus Heist. I am no longer worthy. I am not worthy!
Fav Weezer line = Beverly Hills, that’s where I want to be. Living in Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills……
you are 18 year old girl who lived in small city in Japan, you heard me thru the radio, bout one year ago and you wanted to know, all about me and my hobbies, my favorite food and my birthday
NUMERO TRES

COLDplay=======ever since the “scientist” made its way to my car stereo, coldplay never was never absent in my must buy CD’s list. And with the recent Album X and Y’s I just have this nostalgic high even though I am weaving to countless traffics all over the fuckin metropolis. And the gals who heard me sing them coldplay tunes were all having jaw drops and keep asking for more [/sarcasm] heard this band first back in 98. Yellow was great too.
Fav Coldplay line= come up to meet you. Tell you I’m sorry. you don’t know how lovely you are. I have to find you. Tell I need you. And tell you I set you apart.
Lights will guide you home
and ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
ever since the girl has been feeding me with “acoustic crap” I just have to bring my rock n roll side out. Okay be heard guys what are your top 3 bands!!!

top three bands, hmm, okay
1) Great Big Sea, I'll bet no-one knows them, they're a band from Newfoundland, mix between rock and folk music
2) The Guess Who, HUGE canadian band, one of the best canadian bands of all time, ever heard the song 'American Woman'? that's them
3) Sum 41, what can I say, good Canadian talent, I liked they're earlier stuff better, the latest album (Chuck) is good, though

Disturbed, Chevelle, Mudvayne and Godsmack. Those are the top 4 bands I like. I don't have favorite bands or anything. That's too girly. I'm a MAN.

wtf, I thought you hate Coldplay
For me at this point right now:
1. Nirvana (been my fave band for many years)
2. Coldplay (I loved A Rush of Blood to the Head, and even though the new album isn't quite as good, I'm listening to it lots)
3. Linkin Park (I'm loving Meteora)
4. Our Lady Peace (still love the bunch, but it reminds me a lot of my previous relationship

)
5. Green Day (I'm enjoying their current album and liked them since Dookie)
other mentionables: Filter, Offspring (Smash-era only), Foo Fighters, and Jimmy Eat World

They're still around, sorta

they just came out with a box set just last winter and another "rarities" CD is expected to come out sometime in 2006.
Doobie, I like The Killers, too, but not up in my list, though.

I know them and I barely listen to rock.
1. The Roots - They're a live band so I figure that counts. ?uestlove is the shit, and Black Thought is an awesome MC.
2. Red Hot Chilli Peppers - They're music appeals to me, a bunch of their songs are pretty chill and are good for relaxing.
3. Maybe Green Day or Linkin Park. I have a greatest hits from Green Day that's pretty good, and...the first LP album. Whatever it is. Not bad.

I used to like Linkin Park but theyre nto really in my top 5 annymore because theyre a LITTLE bit too Emo, but they do have good beats and stuff
1- Pink Floyd
2- Nirvana
3- The Doors or AC/DC (its close, but probally AC/DC)

Kurts dead, and that bitch Courtney Love has all rights to Nirvana music. Not anny of the remaining band members.
Damn coke addict kills him, and steals all his money, present and future
Their 4 disc set "With The Lights Out" Was released late last year, I own it, and its awesome
Wed Aug 31, 2005 3:59 pm

Rock isn't really my thing but I like ..like..
All American Rejects
Linkin Park
Juliana Theory

1. Opeth. Hands down the best band I've ever heard, and their new stuff makes me jump all the fuck around trying to join the growling. This shit is the ...well... shit (articulate this morning, are we?).
2. Oooh.... Hmm..... In honor of all pretentious acts all over the world, I give this place to Sigur Ròs. They made up their own language for christs sake! Wonderful music, rocking live, great band.
3. The tough one. I'm going with Clutch here. Best pure rock (fury) ever recorded. Wierd, swinging, and not as pussy as the nu-metalbands that invaded us a few years back (Linkin Park, Korn, Evanblah, Mudwayne, Godsmack etc.).
Honorable mention: John Frusciante, The Mars Volta, Tool, Soulfly, Secret Chiefs 3, Meshuggah, Candlemass, Electric Wizard, GYBE, Johnossi, Spoon, MONO etc.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:24 pm
Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age and The White Stripes are at the top of my current list.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:25 pm
Um. bands...right....what is that?
Naw, really I listen to some rock too, mostly Nirvana and GNR. So...
1. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit = BEST SONG EVER. Well one of them. That song got me started on Nirvana. Shit's been in my head for a month.
2. Guns N' Roses - to tell you the truth I started listening to them just because Jowe wouldn't shut up about them, and I like them.
3. Modest Mouse - I really don't know why I like them. I just do.
Wed Aug 31, 2005 5:35 pm
1: AFI
2: Muse
3: HIM
Honorable mentions: Ill Nino, Lostprophets, Funeral For A Friend, InMe, Alexisonfire, Oasis, Breaking Benjamin, Fall Out Boy
Those are just current bands though, I prefer some older ones too. I used to really like Linkin Park but after that LP+JZ trash...
